TAKING THE STING
OUT OF SUMMER
To ease the pain of sunburns,
first apply a, cool, wet dress-
ing to the burned area, then fol-
low with a lotion. Baking powder
and vinegar are two common
household products which . can
provide temporary relief. A cloth
soaked in a solution of one
tablespoon baking soda in two
cups water can soothe hot tend-
er skin. Undiluted vinegar is
another effective solution. Apply
an oily lotion or cream or cala-
mine lotion after the west dress-
ing. If you have a severe sun-
burn, characterized by painand
blistering plus fever, chills and
nausea, consult a doctor.

planned.

Tuesday, July 15 at 8.30 p.m.
The 1978 International plowing
match and farm machinery show
will be held on the farm of Jim
Armstrong, near Wingham.
Howard Datars, chairman of
the Huron committee said this
week, "Many people have ex-
pressed interest in helping with
this large agricultural event.
Some would like to know more
about the nature of some of the
work involved with the various
committees."
"Very few of the key roles have
been filled at this time, We do
hope that anyone with an interest
in helping will plan to attend the
Clinton meeting. There will be
plenty of opportunity for
questions," he continued.
