Roller hockey FLYERS 8-CANUCKS5 Ron Rader lead his Flyers to a victory last Thursday night, scoring five goals to help his club hold on to second position in the Zurich Roller Hockey. The Flyers downed the Can- ucks 8-5 with strong goal tend- ing by both Derek 0' Brien of the Canucks and Kevin McKinn- on of the Flyers. McKinnon took five stitches to his head in the first game, but came back to play a strong game for the win- ners. Other scoring for the Flyers was provided by Ken Oesch, and his kid brother Jim, and Randy Tiernan. Canucks scoring came off the sticks of Randy Oke with two, Gary Koehler, Joc Ken da, and Richard Thiel each with one. Referees for the ganic were Jcff McKinnon and Roger O'- Brien. BRUINS 8 - CANADIANS 4 Kim McKinnon 's four big goals Icad the way for the Bruins against the Canadians last Thurs- day nikght in Roller Hockey. The Bruins won their third straight victory without a loss, defeating the Canadians by a score of 8-4. Paul Masse and Ron Clarke each scored two goals for the Bruins. Ed Starr, secretary -manager of the Ontario Plowmen's Association will be the discussion leader at the meeting to be held at the Central Huron Secondary School cafeteria in Clinton on Tuesday, July 15 at 8.30 p.m. The 1978 International plowing match and farm machinery show will be held on the farm of Jim Armstrong, near Wingham. Howard Datars, chairman of the Huron committee said this week, "Many people have ex- pressed interest in helping with this large agricultural event. Some would like to know more about the nature of some of the work involved with the various committees." "Very few of the key roles have been filled at this time, We do hope that anyone with an interest in helping will plan to attend the Clinton meeting.
