Preparations are underway in
Blyth Memorial Hall for a full
season of professional entertain-
ment from July 9 to August 2.
The company of nine full time
professionals, supplemented by
amateurs from the area are hard
at work rehearsing plays, and
setting p art displays and theatre
workshops for the people of Hur-
on County.
The Chantecleer Puppet
Theatre will present Logging
with Paul Bunyan, a play for
children based on the legends olf
Paul Bunyan and his famous
Blue Ox on Saturday, .July 26,
at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Ruth
Klassen, the puppeteer, makes
her own puppets and also invol-
ves the children in her and
ience directly in the action of
the play. This show will delight
children and adults. Admission
for all is only 501.

are the professional actors who
will be joined by 16 -year old

James Welwood of Wingham,
who has just completed grade
13 at F.E. Madill Secondary
School, has been hired through
Experience 75 as an apprentice
for the company. James plans
to study theatre at York Univers-
ity in September.

of Goderich, Ernest Neblock
of Auburn, and Lotte and Will-
iam Zonnenberg of George-
town will display their works at
Blyth Memorial Hall from July
9 to August 2.

BLUE WATER REST HOME
Summer was officially ushered
in during the weekend and
brought with it some extremely
hot, humid weather.
Last week was Senior Citizens'
Week and we had some special
programmes for the residents,
but then, we try to make every
week as special as possible.
Early Monday afternoon a
number of our residents went by
bus to Stratford where they
shopped for the afternoon, then
visited the park.
On Monday evening films were
shown followed by refreshments.
This will be our last film night
until the fall season.
On Wednesday afternoon Miss
Diane Bender, teacher of the
Conservative Mennonite School,
brought her pupils to the Home
where they provided. a musical
program for the residents.
We wish to thank those who
have brought donations of fresh
rhubarb and garden vegetables,
alsol materials for use in the
hobby shop.

returned by car to their home in
Kenora, Ontario, after spending
two weeks vacation with Mr.

of St. Joseph.

emphasizes Bible Study and the lessons centered
around a scripture passage for each day.
