NEW LIONS PRESIDENT
Claude Gelinas has been
elected as the new president
of the Zurich Lions Club, and
will assume his duties in the near
future. He takes over the office
from Dr. Doug Thiel, who has
served during the past year.

Mrs. C. Van Raay opened the
June meeting of St. Boniface
Catholic Women League. Ladies
were asked to help at the grad
uation ceremony which is to take
place on June 18.
Plans were made to hire a
bus so the group could attend the
openeing of the convention
in London on July 8.
Wilfred Mousseau spoke on
the trip to Ottawa, going to the
House of Parliament to represent
St Boniface on the petition of one
million signatures against ab-
ortion.
Mrs Madeline Gelinas gave
a very interesting and compl-
ete report of the convention she
went to in Windsor as a del-
egate, aloing with Mrs. Marie
Gelinas.
There wil be no July meet-
ing.
Josephine Denomme introduc-
ed the five singing Miller sisters,
while her committee treated
everyone to cake and ice
cream.
