Zurich Women's Institute hear
details of Authority projects
Zurich Women's Institute met
on Monday evening in Hay
Township hall.
An interesting program was
presented by the committee in
charge.
Mrs. Mary McKinnon introduc-
ed five little Regier girls who
delighted the members with their
rap -dancing.
Mrs. Leonard Erb introduced
Miss Carol Anne Doig, of Seaf-
orth, a student at the University
of Guelph in a Resource Manage-
ment Course and employed for
the summer months with the
Ausable-Bayfield Conservation
Program.
She showed a film on their
work in preserving our natural
resources.
The members saw that one
does not have to travel far to see
many beauty spots and enjoy
nature. Literature and pamphlets
on the program were available
also.
Following lunch the business
was discussed. A letter of thanks
from the secretary of the first
Cub Pack of Zurich was received
for a donation given to their
group.
In was also decided the regular
September meeting would be
held one week later due to it
falling. on a holiday. Plans were
also made for the booth at the
Bean Festival iri August with
Group I in charge. Twenty-three
members answered the roll call
with a Metric measurement.
There were also 10 visitors and
Mrs. Margaret Hess was welcom-
ed as a new member. The
Women's Institute plates have
been received and were avail-
able to the members.

Rader-VanWyck wedding Satur-
day, May 31, and spent the

in Rader. A fancily gathering
was held on Sunday with Mr.
and Mrs. Fred Miller and girls,
Zion, and Mr. and Mrs. Dave
Rader and Stacey attending.
Fred Messner is a patient in
University Hospital, London.
Mr. and Mrs. Ross Love visited
at Sudbury last week with Mr.
and Mrs. Don Love and family
and spent the weekend with then
at their cottage on Manitoulin
Island.

Under authority vested in the
Mill< Act (1970) the mild comm-
ission of Ontario will conduct a
public inquiry along the following
lines:
Investigate pricing practices
and margins between processors,
distributors and retailers or fluid
milk products;
Inquire into the manner in
which these practices may vary
within a corporate organization;
Examine the manner in which
these practices may vary from
one part of the province to anoth-
er;
Inquire into the variations in
practices between different proc-
essors, distributors and retailers
within the province;
Investigate the retail margins
currently being given on the
basis outlined in numbers 2, 3,
and 4;
Inquire into discount practices
in and after the year 1972;
Compare the retail margins
and discount practices in Ontario
with those in other jurisdictions.
This public inquiry will begin
as soon as the necessary arrange-
ments can be made.
