JOYCE PEPPER, CORRESPONDENT Queensway Unit II of Hensall United Church entertained the residents on Mondayafternoon byplaying P Y g bingo. Reta Scholl played the piano for a sing song. On Tuesday afternoon, the church service was conducted by Rev. Harold Snell, of Exeter. •He was accompanied on the piano by his wife and he also Played several selections on his violin. Bernice Lavery went out for dinner and a drive on Sunday, and Louise Mitchell went for a drive on Saturday. Mrs. A. Taylor visited at Exeter with her son Delbert on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Dunn visited with Louise Mitchell, Vera Lammie, and Anna Dilling. Visiting with Mrs. Elizabeth Sararas were Mr. and Mrs. Roy MacDonaldMrs. Edna Caldwell, , Mrs, Doris Bonthron, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Sararas, Karen and Jodi 'and Mrs. Alexander. I. The Board of Directors meet- ing of Kippen East Women's Institute was held at the home of Mrs. R. Kinsman May 7. Programs were planned, plans were made for a bowling party, bake sale, bus trip and other business for the corning year. The Family and Consumer's Affairs meeting of Kippen East W.I. will be held in the Legion Hall May 21 at 8:30 p.m, Mrs. H. Caldwell will be host - ess, Mrs. R. Bell will give the motto. The roll call is "Sa ,� Something nice about the person on your right." The 4-H girls will entertain: Mrs. William Bell is in charge of lunch. Congratulations to the two Provincial Honour winners from Kippen last Achievement Day - Miss Linda Bell and Sharon Brodie. Mr. and Mrs, Cameron Mell- is, Inkster Michigan, visited with Mr. and Mrs. W, L, Mellis, presented Five children were resented for baptism at St. Andrew's Church , Kippen on May 11, Mother's Day. WILLIAM STUART William Stuart of R. R.1, Centralia passed away at the Blue Water Rest Horne in.Zurich on Friday, May 9 in his 91st year, He was the husband of the late Lottie S. Burrell, and father of Rev. Donald Stuart, R.R,1, Centralia, and Mrs. A.E. (Freda; Crosby of London. • Also surviving are one sister Mrs. Ada Stephens, England, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The late Mr. Stuart rested at the Bonthron Funeral Chapel in Hensall. A private funeral service was held at Woodland Cemetery Mausoleum, London, on Monday, May 12 with Rev, John Beaton officiating.
