Obituaries
MRS. THOMAS WESTLAKE
A life-long resident of Stan-
ley Township, Mrs. Thomas
Westlake passed away in the
Blue Water Rest Home, on
Thursday, April 3, in her 86th
year. Born in Stanley Town-
ship on June 6, 1889, she was
the former Isabella Delgaty,
a daughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Delgaty.
Mr. and Mrs. Westlake would
have celebrated their 60th
wedding anniversary next year.
The couple farmed on the
Bluewater Highway most of
their life.
Surviving besides her husband
are two sons, Keith R. of Zur-
ich, and Gordon T., of R.R.3,
Bayfield. There are also seven
grandchildren and 12 great
grandchildren.
The body rested at the West-
lake Funeral Home, Zurich,
where the service was held on
Sunday, April 16, at 2 p.m.
Interment was made in the
Bayfield Cemetery.

KENNETH EUGENE ETUE
A former resident of the
Bluewater Highway in Stanley
Township, Kenneth Eugene
Etue passed away suddenly at
his residence in Seaforth on
Wednesday, April 2, in his
57th year. He had been a res-
ident of Seaforth for some
years.
Surviving besides his wife,
the former Veronica Molyneaux,
are three sons, Thomas, of
Windsor, K. James, of Egmond-
ville, and Donald, of Seaforth;
one daughter, Patricia, of
Toronto; two brothers, Godfrey
of Detroit, Lloyd, of Goderich;
and four sisters, Mrs. W.S.
(Winnifred) Saunders, of Lond-
on, Mrs. L. (Louise) DeLaFran-
ier, of Belle River, Mrs. Lorne
(Mabel) Denomme, of Sarnia,
and Mrs Peter (Genevieve)
Masse, of Grand Bend.
A memoria mass was held at
St. James Roman Catholic
Church, Seaforth, on Saturday,
April 4, at 11 a.m. The body
was donated to Medical Science

At a recent wedding reception,
while the guests stood around
talking in small groups, an.
elderly, near-sighted gentleman
asked a young man, "Are you
the bridegroom?"
"I'm afraid not," he replied.
"I was eliminated in the semi-
finals."
Zurich couple married 50 years
Tuesday, April 8, 1975 was
a very special one for Mr. and
Mrs. Norman Gascho and their
family. The occasion celebrate
ed by Mr. and Mrs. Gascho,
their son and daughter and
brothers and sisters was the
couple's 50th wedding anniver-
sary. After a family dinner was
enjoyed at the Bayview Tourist
Inn, the celebrants returned to
the Gascho's residence in Zurich
to welcome other friends, rel-
atives and well-wishers.
Mr. and Mrs. Gascho were
married in Windsor, and have

lived in Zurich all of their marr
ied lives. Their family consists
of two children; Mrs. Ross Mc -
Nab (Barbara) of Comox B.C.,
and Ross, of London. Five grand
children complete the family.
The late Mr. and Mrs.
Joseph Gascho were the groom's
parents and the late Mr. and
Mrs. John Oesch, parents of
the bride.
The Gascho's are faithful
members of Emmanuel United
Church, Zurich, and Mrs.
Gascho is a willing worker in
the U.C.W.
Rural route one is still being
serviced by Mr. Gascho with
it's mail and has been for
many years.
