This year the Ontario Min-
istry of Agriculture and Food

The program is designed to prov-
ide a practical learning exper-
ience for young people from
non-farm homes who have a
serious interest in agriculture,
and who have had no experience
working on a farm.
As a Junior Agriculturalist,
a person will be placed on a
selected commercial farm,
where he/she will perform reg-
ular activities relative to that
farm operation. In addition, a
Junior Agriculturalist will have '
an opportunity to develop an
appreciation of rural life will
have an opportunity to develop

through living with a farm fam-
ily, and through participating
in the local 4-1-1 and Junior
Farmer programs and in other
rural activities.
The prospective Junior Agric-
ulturalist will be either boys or
girls 16 and 17 years of age and
must be in good physical and
mental condition in order to
withstand the vigorous physical
effort. Selection will be based
in part oh their reasons for being
interested in agriculture arid
their plans for further education
and a career.
All Junior Agriculturalists
will be required to participate in
an orientation program to help
prepare them for their farm stay.
This program will be held about
mid-June and on-farm assign-
ment will be for a nine week
period, commencing on June 23
and terminating on August 23,
1975.
A Junior Agriculturalist will
be assigned, wherever possible,
to a farm with the type of enter-
prise (s) in which she/he is most
interested. The duties involved
will vary considerably depending
on the individual farm operation,
the demonstrated ability of the
Junior Agriculturalist, and the
sand of enterprises found on the
farm.

MEDITATION -
If my people which are called
by my name shall humble
themselves, and pray and seek
my face and turn from their
wicked ways, then will I hear
from heaven and will forgive
their sin, and will heal their
land.

BLUE WATER REST HOME
We hope all our readers are
recovering from the `blizzard,
and we are grateful to all of
our staff who helped out by
working overtime and to those
who lived nearby to fi11 the
gaps for those who were unable
to brave the storm. Even the
poor robins and other spring
birds will be wondering if their ,
instincts have led them astray.
On Monday evening films
were shown followed by refresh-
ments.

Ladies Auxiliary held their

the accompaniment of Mrs.

from Switzerland in conjunction
with the Swiss T.V. networks.
Because of the varied languages
covered by their networks,
there were three people in their
party. The lady spoke solely
German, the camerman spoke
only French and the other
gentleman was bi-lingual and
spoke French, German, Italian
and English. Some T.V. filming
was done in the Home, and Mr.
Risi who is able to converse in
their home language, was inter-
viewed. These people were
particularly interested in infor-
mation concerning Zurich, Ont-
ario, to take back to Zurich,
Switzerland. They braved the
storm from Toronto to visit us
before leaving for other parts
of Canada.
The sympathy of residents
and staff is extended to the
family of the late Mrs, Isabella
Westlake.
Any plans we had for outside
activities during the latter part
of the week were squelched by
'the worst blizzard of the year
which prevailed throughout
most of the area,
On Friday evening, bingo
was played followed by refresh-
ments.
The Sunday evening chapel
service was conducted by Rev.

choir members attended the
service and provided music
accompanied on the organ by
Miss Agnes Bray.
