hold annual meeting
Members of Hensall Curling
Club met Monday evening at
Vanastra Curling Club for their
annual meeting, with president
Harold Caldwell presiding.
Winners of curling for the year
were announced.
Bob Caldwell and his team
of Eudora Caldwell, Alex and
Ethel McMurtrie were the over
all winners with the most points
and were awarded the Goodwin
Trophy. Harold Caldwell and
his team of Wilma Caldwell,
Leonard Hoffman and Eleanor
Shiels were play-off champs
and were awarded the Middle-
ton Trophy. Ray Consitt and his
team of Marg and Mark Consitt
and Bertha McGregor were
play-off runners up.

of Richard Packham, Jerry and
Highlites from
Queensway
The Easter Church service was
conducted Tuesday by Rev.,
Snell of Exeter, accompanied
by Louise Mitchell on the piano.
On Saturday, the Eastern Star
Chapter of Exeter visited the
home and presented the resid-
ents with an Easter treat.
Shirley Luther visited with
the residents on Friday and
played the piano and sang.
Adeline Taylor went out to
dinner Easter Sunday at her son
Delbert Taylor's in Exeter, and
Bernice Lavery went to her son
Gordon's for Easter dinner.
Easter visitors were Mrs. Pass -
ie and family of Timmins with
George Aaltonen, whom they
had not seen for quite some
time. Dr. and Mrs. Johnny
Corr of Windsor with Mrs. Corr's
mother Mary Paruner.
Ray and Jean Funnell, Billy
and Heather, and Hazel Mc-
Naughton visited with Ada
Amillie. Grace Gilfillan and
Donna Smith with Mrs. O'Brien.
Mrs. Mitchell was pleasantly
surprised with a visit from her
daughter Doris and son-in-law
Edward Denroch, of Barrie, her
son Les and granddaughter
Brenda also visited her. Mrs.
A. Taylor had her son Ivan
and his wife from Kitchener.
Mrs. Ruby Miners had Mrs.
Frank Skinner, who brought her
an Easter lily. Mrs. Clara Mc-
Donald visited her mother Mrs.
Elizabeth Sararas.
Mrs. Hugo Schenk and daught-
er visited Hugo Schenk.
On Monday afternoon, the
Chiselhurst UCW entertained wit]
Dorothy Brintnell in charge.
Cecil Skinner of Exeter and Gail
Finkbeiner of London entertain-
ed the residents with some toe
tapping music on the violin,
and the TCW treated everyone to
home made butter tarts.

game winners. Ken Parker and
his team of Marlene Parker, and
Don and Pat Dalton were high
one game winners and Howard
Scane and his team of Helen
Scare and Lorne and Lorna
Chapman were consolation win-
ners. All the teams got glasses
and some of them got crests.
Election of officers was held.
The are: - president, Cecil
Pepper; first vice-president,
John Henderson; second vice-
presieent, Wayne McBride;
secreatry-treasurer, Eric Luther.
New members were chosen for
the games and membership
committee. They are: Ray
Consitt,' Bob Caldwell, Wayne
McBride, Ken Clark and Harold
Caldwell. New members for the
social committee are Mr. and
Mrs. John Eckel, M. and Mrs.
Leonard Hoffman, Mr. and Mrs,
Ken Caldwell, Mr. and Mrs.
Laird Finlayson, and Mr. and
Mrs. Torn Neilands.

thanked all the committees in
charge this year for the excell-
ent job they had done, andin
turn Cecil Pepper thanked Har-
old for the good job he had also
done. •

John Ambulance, if they are
going to ride at high speeds.
