BLUE WATER RES', HOME
Variety is the spice of life,
or so the saying goes, and
certainly March is giving us
just that, with the wind, the
rain, snow•and some sunshine
thrown in. I haven't as yet
heard the frogs, but rnost of the
birds are winging their way back
from the south, which is a .good
omen.
On Monday afternoon Mrs.
Luther, of Hensall joined the
residents in the chapel for a
song and meditation service.
Films were shown on Monday
evening, followed by refresh-
ments. We are indebted to Mr.
Harold Erb for seeing that the
films get delivered for the
Monday evening showing.
Several ladies have been
here from the area visiting
and helping quilt the Auxiliary
quilt in the craft room during
the past week,- and from all
appearances it will be compl-
eted before the weekend.
We wish to thank Mrs. Bill
Fuss of Hensall for bringing
in such a nice variety of rem-
nants for use in the craft room,
The residents have been working
very bard making cuddly bun-
nies, but the demand is so
great that they are bought as
soon as they leave the assembly
line.
On Friday evening bingo was
enjoyed. The feature prize was
a large chocolate rooster which
was won by Mrs. Susan Snider.

Police warn of
repair cheats'
The Ontario Provincial Pol-
ice warn that with the approach
of warm weather, building rep-
air cheats will be active across
the province. These Gyp -artists
prey on the elderly and unsusp-
ecting home owner, overcharg-
ing for roof, chimney, siding
and driveway repairs.
If you are approached by
anyone to contract for repairs,
be sure they represent a legit-
imate and responsible company.
Sign nothing and pay notlring
until you are sure that you are
dealing with an honest, establ-
ished businessman. Remember,
a reputable contractor will not
usually demand a large deposit
before starting a job.
If you don't ktrow the contract
or --don't trust him. Check on
his reliability. Should you have
any doubt, contact your local ,
police department or nearest
detachment of the Ontario
Provincial Police.

MEDITATION:
When I survey the wondrous
cross
On which the Prince of glory
died
My richest gain I count but
loss
And pour contempt on all my
pride
Love so amazing so divine.
Demands my soul, my life,
