members of Kippen East Women
Institute about his work as libr-
arian at Goderich Collegiate.

Activities meeting on March 19.
He stated that the library
used by students and teachers
was a technical library and that
he did the buying of books and

The president welcomed the
guests and gave a reading. Mrs.
3. Keyes, District President,
brought greetings fromSouth
Huron District Women's Instit-
ute and stated that the District
Annual will be held May 15 in
Dashwood, Achievement Day
willbe May 3.
Leaders are needed for the
Garden Club. Family Night and
Fun Night will be held April 4
in the Legion Hall. A skit,
"Ain't got the money for the
mortgage. ".,was presented by
Margaret Hoggarth , Grace
Drummond, Mona Alderdice,
Helen Parsons and Marg Con-
nolly. Mary Broadfoot led in
a dance session. Flowers, veg-
etables and what have you
made up the display, "Some-
thing you have planted."
Mrs. R Kinsman gave the
Family and Consumers Affairs
report.Members answered the
roll call by naming a favourite
old time dance and introducing
their guests.
Mrs. Glen Bell and Mrs.
Hugh Parsons were hostesses.
Mrs. Alex Mc.Gregor gave court-
esy remarks and lunch was
served by Mrs. Parsons and her
committee.
Mrs. Kinsman chaired the
business portion of the meeting
and Mrs. Drummond the prog-

Afternoon" with Grand Bend
W.I. and several other W.I.
branches of South Huron District
on March 20 at'Grand Bend.
Mr. and Mrs. Eli Denys
spent two weeks vacationing in
Florida.
Mrs. Ruth Dickert, Harriston,
is visiting with her sister, Mrs.
Norman Dickert.

C. GELDERLAND
A telephone call from Holl-
and informed Mrs. Sim Roobal
of the death of her father, Mr.
C. Gelderland, who has made
his home with his eldest daught-
er for the past seven years.
Mr. Gelderland leaves to
mourn another_ daughter, Mrs.
K. Lagerwerf, two grandchild-
ren and five great grandchild-
ren in Holland; his son Anthony
Gelderland, one grandson
Ronald, and three great grand-
•
children in Ridgetown; and a
daughter{Mrs. Sim Roobal of
Hensall, one granddaughter,
Mrs. Don Dodds, of Seaforth anc
three great grandchildren of
Seaforth. Mr. Gelderland was
in his 92nd year and has been
a widower for 62 years.

Ontario Hydro's Lakeview
Generating Station, west of
Toronto, contain more than
150 miles of tubing. That's
just about the correct amount
to stretch from Toronto to
Kingston.
