Graupner, former minister at Zion Lutheran Church in Dashwood, passed away at his home in Detroit. Mr. and Mrs. George Walker, Hensall, returned home last week after spending some time in St. Petersburg, Florida. 10 Years Ago Murray Keller, 10 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Keller, R.R.2, Dashwood, escaped with only minor abrais- ions and bruises late Saturday afternoon when he was pinned beneath the weight of a small barn. C.V. Laughton, QC., of the Exeter law ficin of Bell and Laughton, advised this newsp- aper by way of a telephone call from Toronto, just prior to press time Wednesday, that final approval has been receiv- ed from the Ontario Department of Welfare for the construction of a 60 -bed rest home in the Zurich area. The Public School Board of the Township School Area of Hay has received assurance from the department of municipal affairs in Toronto that $100, 000 has been set aside from the Municipal Assistance Fund for the construction of the addition- al four new classrooms at Zur- ich Public School. Cheryl Stade, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Stade, Zurich, walked off Friday with the scholarship for junior vocal- ists at the Kiwanis Music Fest- ival in London. Results of the test report on frozen fish and chip dinners in the February issue of Canadian Consumer reveals that all brands come close to or do provide one third of the daily require- ment for adults and are more than adequate for children.
