Bantams win two

ZURICH 11 - GARDEN CITY 4
The Zurich Bantams played
host to the Bantam team from
Garden City, Michigan last
Saturday and Sunday. Intim
Saturday night game Zurich
defeated the Michigan team
by an 11 to 4 score. Zurich
opened the scoring at the 4:20
mark as Bob Mommersteeg got
an unassisted goal. Zurich got
their second goal one minute
Later when Jim Oesch scored
assisted by Paul Haggitt. Garden
City notched their first goal of
the period at the 10 minute marl,
when C. Savino scored unass-
isted. Zurich came on strong
and scored two quick goals in
the next minute. Wayne Thiel
got the first goal with the assist
going to Jim Oesch. The sec-
ond goal carne off the stick of
Tom Keenan assisted by Bob
Mommersteeg and Larry Pole.
At the 1:50 mark of the
second period Don Russel scored
Garden City's second goal
assisted by Workall and Bob
Corczyer, Wayne Thiel came
back at the 2:10 mark to score
Zurich's 5th goal. At 12:10
Ken Oesch scored an unassisted
goal. Garden City came
through at the 13.30 mark as
G. Smith got a goal assisted
by P. Loney.
In the third period at the
2:45 mark M. Jablonsh notched:
Garden City's last goal assisted
by Don Russel. Wayne Thiel
scored his hat trick at 6:20
of the third period assisted by
Paul Haggitt and Jim Oesch.
Steve Grainger banged in a
goal for Zurich at 8:45 with
assists going to Ken Oesch and
Steve Grainger. One minute
.later Jim Oesch scored Zurich's
9th goal assisted by Paul Hagg-
itt and Tim Smith. Paul
Haggitt assisted Jim Oesch and
Gary Regier accounted for
Zurich's 10th goal. Jim Oesch
scored his hat trick at the
12:45 mark assisted by Tirn
Smith and Paul Haggitt.

In the game played on Sun-
day afternoon the local crew
came up with their second win
of the exchange visit. Paul
Haggitt opened the scoring at
3:05 assisted by Barry Overholt.
At the 8:47 mark Paul Haggitt
scored Zurich's second goal.
Don Russel put Garden City on
the scoreboard assisted by C.
Sayan. and M. Jablonsh.
Zurich carne back in the sec-
ond period and scored on a
goal by Barry Overholt on a lone
effort. At 9:55 Barry Overholt
notched his second goal assisted
by Paul Haggitt.
The lone goal of the third
period came off the stick of P.
Shain of Garden City assisted
by P. Loney and M. Clendening,

Badminton
results
Betty O'Brien, Marge Schilbe,
Don O'Brien and Pat Bedard
each collected four wins last
Tuesday night in the Zurich
Badminton League. Pat Bedard's
four wins gave him a two point
lead in the standings over sec-
ond place players Betty O'Brien
and Marge Schilbe, each with
fourteen points. In team stand-
ings three teams are tied for
first place with 24 points and
three teams tied for second
place with 20 points. each.
