Most people are glad to see a bit of snow to make everything look clean again. This has been a very quiet week, which is typical of Jan- uary. Monday evening films were enjoyed followed by refresh- ments. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs. Katherine Prevett of Goderich again for deliverying the films to us each week -end when she visits her mother here, also John Corriveau for picking them up on his way through from Goderich and returning them back to Huron County Library. Our residents have started back on their busy routine in the hobby shop trying to fill up the shelves left vacant after the busy Christmas rush. If anyone has articles they think might be of use in the craft room, they would be very much appreciated. On Friday afternoon we were pleased to have Miss Lily Greb, DELHI TOWERS Antenna & Rotors Installed, sold & repaired Harold Elliott 262-2829 HENSALL of Exeter drop in to visit and provide the residents with some pleasant accordian music. We invite anyone to feel free to drop in and help brighten up the long winter days for the residents. On Friday evening, bingo was enjoyed as usual. The Sunday evening chapel service was conducted by Rev. Frank Morgret of the Dashwood Lutheran Church. Miss Helen Nadiger presided at the organ and led in the singing. 0 • International er na t' on al Scene (continued from page 4) rumbling noises from responsible people like President Ford and secretary of state Kissinger to the effect that they do not rule out American military inter- vention in the Middle East should the oil crisis fail to res- olve itself. We have been fortunate for 25 years. Our economic growth has been almost too much to hope for and, in spite of what everybody said during times of prosperity, we have not yet advanced the state of the art • of economics so that we are able to avoid recessions, big or small. My only hope for the next 25 years, in which I plan to continue reporting, is that the relatively major recession which the world is experiencing now will not cause some of the world leaders to act unwisely. It will take cool heads all around.
