A card party sponsored by the Orange Lodge was held at Varna Township Hall on Friday night,. Those winning prizes are as follows: High ladies, Mrs. Mac Webster; Low ladies, Mrs. Harry Oakes; High men's, Don Taylor; Low men's, Dave Roy. Draw prizes were won by Mrs. Ron Taylor, Mr. Harry Oakes and Mrs. George Clarke. - The U.C.W. will meet in the basement of the church on Thursday, January 9. 0 Police On Tuesday at 8:15 p.m. a car clrivenby Frank Wilson, London, went out of control on Highway 4 and bit a bridge. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson slightly injured . Damage was estimated at $2, 000 by Constable Dale Lamont. On Tuesday at 11:45 p.m. a car driven by Richard Lord, Crediton, went out of control on City Road 4 and struck the ditch. Damage was estimated at $125 by Constable Dale Lamont, On Wednesday at 11:15 a.m. a truck driven by Steven Cush- man, Exeter, skidded on High- way 4 and struck a Highway sign. Damage was estimated at $30 by Constable Al Quinn. On Thursday at 11:30 p.m. a car driven by Maralyn Rhode, R.R.1, Woodham, went out of control on City Road 11 and struck a fence post.
