have gone to Florida for the
winter.
Miss Linda Workman, Guelph
is spending Christmas with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orville
Workman.
Visitors at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Ed McBride over the
holidays were Mr. and Mrs.
Steve Pine and family, of
Sault Ste. Marie.
Mr. and Mrs. Anderson Gib-
son, Wroxeter, Mr. and Mrs.
Dean Gibson, Lucan, Mrs.
Mary McGillwary, Walkerton
visited with Mr. and Mrs. W.L.
Mellis last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Dave Moyer,
Parry Sound were guests of
Mrs. Robert Thomson.
Miss Jean Ivison visited with
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Torrance,
Porters Hill.
Mr. and Mrs. Gary Cooper
and family, Detroit, Mr. and
Mrs. Gayle Cooper, spent the
holiday with Mr. and Mrs.
Vivan Cooper.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jones
and family spent Christmas
with Mr. and Mrs. Herb Jones
in Hensall.
Mr. and Mrs. Lou Kirk and
Paul. Mansfield were guests of
Mr. and Mrs. Ken McLellan.
Mr. and Mrs. Ron Rumble
and family of Toronto visited
relatives in the area.

Kippen East Women's Instit-
ute will meet in the Legion
Hall at 11:30 on January 15 for
a pot luck dinner. Hostesses
will be Mrs. Angus Hummel
and Mrs. Al Hoggarth. Roll
call willbe "naive the flowers
carried or worn at your wedding.
Each member will contribute
a number and will bring a
friend and something for the
auction sale.
ACHIEVEMENT DAY
4-H Clubs in Zurich on
January 4 for their Achievement
Day. From the 4-1-I Clubs
sponsored by Kippen East W.I.
Jeanette Postma and Shirley
Chalmers received their county
honours. Mrs. Don Brodie
received her five year certif-
icate for leaders.
MEMBERS LEARN CRAFT
Members of Kippen East
Women's Institute learned the
art of making a fur flower when
Mrs. Alex McGregor displayed
crafts made by the patients at
Huronview. This being the
citizenship meeting, members
answered the roll call by "A
little thing in life that leads
to good citizenship." Mrs.
Alex McGregor commented on
the motto, "Friendship is the
cement that holds the world
together."
The repdrt of Family and
Consumer Affairs was given by
Mrs. A. Hoggarth, Citizenship
and World Affairs report by Mrs.
V. Alderdice, the District Board
report was given by Mrs. R.
Bell and Mrs. R. Kinsman and
Mrs. Grace Drummond gave
the area Convention report.
Mrs. R. Broadfoot and Mrs.
R. Kinsman gave Christmas
Readings.
Members will quilt for Huron -
view, an auction will be held
at the January meeting.
Mrs. A. Hoggarth won the
flower arrangement and Mrs.
Dave Triebner was the winner
of the lucky plate.

On November 22, 1974, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church,
Grand Bend, Richard Regier and Rebekah Smith were united
in marriage at 6 p.m. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. George Smith, of Grand Bend and the groom's parents
are Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Regier, of Zurich. Mary -Ann Fekyle,
of Centralia was maid of honor and Charles Regier, of Grand
Bend was best inan.
