Zurich Bantams have five wins

In five starts the Zurich
Bantams, came up with all
wins.
On November 24 Zurich play-
ed the Monkton team and beat
them 11 to 3. Kerry Bedard
scored the first two goals assist-
ed by Jim Willert and Mark
Regier. Then Robert Willert
scored one.
In the second period, Monk -
ton scored first, then again.
Next Robert Willert scored
three more goals. Kris Bedard
assisted on two while Len Van-
wonderan and Pat Cyr had one
assist each.
To start off the third period
'Mark Regier drilled one in to
make the score six to two. Then
Len Vanwonderan scored one
assisted by Robert Willert. Rob-
ert Willert scored three more
goals assisted by Lenny who
had two more points.
Finally Monkton scored to
end the game at a score of
11 to 3 for Zurich.
On November 26, the Ban-
tams again won beating Brus-
sels by a score of 12 to 4.
In the first period when the
first period was 30 seconds old
Robert Willert scored two goals
assisted by Lenny Vandwonder-
en and Mike Haggitt. Kerry
Bedard scored assisted by Kris
Bedard. Kris Bedard then scor-
ed assisted by Jim Willert.
Then Brussels scored to make
the score four to one.
Mark Regier scored to start
the second period assisted by
Robert Willert. Next Kerry
Bedard scored and was assist-
ed by Mark Regier. Then
Brussels scored two goals. Jim
Willert scored a goal assisted
by Kerry Bedard.
In the third period Robert
Willert scored assisted by Len
Vanwonderen and Mike Hag-
gitt. Kerry Bedard scored one
to make the score nine to three.
Jim Willert added another
assisted by Chris Denomme and
Kerry Bedard. Brussels scored
one more for their final goal.
Then Mike Haggitt blasted two
by the posts both assisted by
Robert Willert and that ended
the game. Final score Zurich 12
Brussels 4.
Zurich Bantams came up with
another lop -sided win on
December 1 against Dublin.
Two goals were scored by
Zurich, by Robert Willert and
Mark Regier, before Dublin
got their only goal of the game.
Before the period ended Kris
Bedard popped in another for
Zurich.
Only two goals were scored in
the second period. First, Robert
Willert hit the target, then near
the end of the period Kerry
Bedard slipped one by.
Zurich ran away with the
game in the last period, add-
ing six goals. First Jim Willert
notched one, then Robert
Willert game up with three
more big ones. Mark Regier and
Pat Cyr rounded up the scoring
to give Zurich their third win
in a row.
Zurich played Garden City on
Saturday, December 4, and
Sunday, December 5 winning.
In the first game, Zurich
beat Garden City four to one.
Fliers meet Watford,
go down in defeat
The Flyers met their match
last Sunday when they were
defeated by Watford four to
three. Zurich opened the scor-
ing in the first period with a
goal by Steve Bedour, assisted
by Ken Smale and Steve
Haberer.
Watford answered this goal
with one of their own scored by
Wayne Westgate. Before the
period ended, Pat Bedard found
the mark for Zurich assisted by
Ron Desjardine and Glen Over-
holt to make the score two to
one for the Flyers.
Zurich pulled even farther
ahead in the first few minutes of
the second period as Glen Over-
holt scored unassisted to give
Zurich a three to one lead.
Unfortunately for Zurich,
that was the erid of their
scoring. Watford came back
with two goals in the second
period, both scored by Alex
Hastie to make the game a three

Flyers is this Sunday with
the Hensall Combines supply-
ing the opposition.

Near the end of the period
Zurich scored with Robert
Willert popping one in. Coming
right back Garden City scored
one by Bill Bolan.
In late minutes of the second
period, Chris Denomme scored
a goal,
Finally in the last period
Zurich scored two, one by Mike
Haggitt and Kris Bedard.
Assists on the goals went
to Len Vanwonderen, Kris
Bedard, Jim Willert, Jeff
McKinnon and Kerry Bedard.
In the first few minutes of the
second game, Zurich got off to
a quick start, with Robert
Willert scoring and also Len
Vanwonderen.
In the second period, Robert
,Willert notched two goals. Near
the end, Kerry Bedard, Jim
Willert and Len Vanwonderen
each scored one. Then Garden
City scored from Bill Bolan
their only goal, near the end of
the period.
In the third, Robert Willert
drilled one in to end the game.
In this game, Kris Bedard
assisted on three goals, while
Pat Cyr, Jeff McKinnon, Kerry
Bedard, Robert Willert and
Jim Willert each aided on one.
The game ended with a score
of Zurich 3, Garden City 1.
Everybody had a good time in
Garden City and will have
good memories,
