Mr, and Mrs, Doug Deller,
Kerry and Scott of Erin, visit-
ed on the weekend at the home
of Mrs. Delbert Haw.
Mrs. Lulu Smith returned
home after spending a week
with Mr. and Mrs Frank Rach-
ick, Jennifer and Meagen
of Ingersoll.
Recent guests with Mr. and
Mrs, B..Higgens were Mr. and
Mrs. Jim Higgins and family
of Port Dover.
Mr. John Bigelow of Colling-
wood visited his sister and
brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Doyle Cullen, Holmesville and
attended the service at the Bay-
field Baptist Church.
Miss Glenda Geddes of Sea -
forth spent the weekend with
Miss Lisa Talbot, who cele-
brated her birthday Saturday.
Friends of Mrs. Agnes Cam-
eron will be sorry to learn she
is confined in Victoria Hospital,
London.
Recent guests with Mr. and
Mrs. Bert Barwick were Mr.
and Mrs. Wm. Hounsell, Lon-
don; Mr. and Mrs. Bruce
Proudlove of Stratford; and Mr.
Les McArthur of Keswick.
Mr. and Mrs. Bert Barwick
spent the American Thanks-
giving with his sister Mr. and
Mrs. Les Doxtater, Kalamazoo,
Michigan. They were accom-
panied by Miss Susan and Miss
Sandra Hully of Seaforth.
Mrs. Fred Weston spent
three days with her daughter,
Mrs. Don Dinell and family
in London.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Sctoch-
mer and family of Chatham
spent the weekend at their
home in the village.
Sympathy is extended to the
family of Mrs. Geo. Willetts,
who passed away on the week
end. Mrs. Willetts was a sum-
mer resident of the village.
EVERY YOUNG CLUB
Fifty senior citizens sat down
to a beautiful turkey dinner
Saturday night at St. Andrews
United Church. The tables were
tastefully decorated in. a Christ-
mas theme. Mrs. Milvena
Erickson donated favours for
each member present which
were much appreciated.
Rev. Reddoch gave the toast
to the Queen and also gave a
humorous reading about a man
trying to make a speech on
his wedding day.
Euchre was enjoyed after
dinner.
Rev. and Mrs. Reddoch
received a letter stating that
Mr. Harold Prim had passed
away last spring. Mrs. Prim,
who lives in Detroit, will be
remembered by many Bayfield
residents as Holly Louise Supp -
nick, whose family owned Holly
Lodge for many years. Sym-
pathy is extended to Mrs.
Prim in her loss.
The Anglican Church women
of Trinity Anglican Church
held St. Andrews Day Corpor-
ate Communion at the Parish
Hall, Tuesday at 11 a.m. This
was followed by a pot luck
dinner. The ladies of Trinity
Guild were invited. Twenty-
eight ladies attended.
Following the dinner Mrs.
Clark, the Deanery representat
tive from St. George's Church,

ELECTION RESULTS
At the election for council
members, there were 253
voted out of a possible 454.
There wasa good number pre-
sent for the ballot counting and
to congratulate the winning
councillors.
There was one new member
elected and three returned.
Mrs. Milvena Erickson with
168 votes, Don Warner with
159, Frank McFadden with
126—all former members and
Doug Sinnamon with 119 votes.
Others running were Frank
Burch, former member; Milt
Van Patter; Joe Chapman and
Robert Lynn,
It was gratifying to see the
interest shown in the village
management. The reeve, Ed
Oddleifson was returned by
acclamation.
BAYFIELD HOCKEY NEWS
Bayfield Pee Wees met Brus-
sells Friday night in Bayfield.
The score was 6-3 for Brussells.
The team played a good game
with goals being scored by Rick
Johnston, Darin Telford and
Jeff Merner. Assists went to
David Sturgeon and John Dow -
son with one each. Jeff Merner
and Darin Telford with two
each.
Bayfield Minor Hockey would
like to take this time to thank
Bayfield Building Centre and
Bayfield Meat Market for don-
ating the sweaters for the team
and also to Pat Graham for
donating a Christmas basket
for a draw. Tickets are on sale
at Graham's store and at
hockey games and will be drawn
on December 17 at the game.
So lets go out and support the
team,

December 17 against Grand
Bend at 8 o'clock.
ANGLICAN CHURCH
Sunday, December 5, the
services held in Trinity Angli-
can Church started with Holy
Communion at 8 a,m., cele-
brant Rev. W.M. Bennett, at
10 a.m. sung Mattins, second
Sunday in Advent. The two
candles in the Advent wreath
were lit by a member of the
Church School, Melanie Van
Patter. The Advent Prayer for
the second Sunday was said by
all.
The Rector used as his text
Luke 3:4,6. Mrs. Donald John-
ston was the organist and Mr.
Eric Earl choir director.
Prayers were offered for the
sick and those in hospital:
Mrs. A. Cameron, Victoria
Hospital., London; former Rect-
or, Rev. George Youmatoff,.
also in hospital in London.
Next Sunday, December 12,

Bishop Ragg informed the
Rector that the Rev. Edward
Jeffrey Blake Harrison, 30th
Rector of the Church who re-
tired in 1971 died last Saturday
in Sarnia. Funeral services were
held in St. George's Chruch,
Sarnia, Tuesday.
Trinity Church has its roots in
the 1830's. Mr. Harrison serv-
ed as Rector from May 1, 1957
to the summer of 1971. He
was predeceased by a twin
brother, also an Anglican
Priest, the Rev. Alvin H.
Harrison, and is survived by a
brother, Charles C. Harrison
