RADER Miss Sharon Rader, London, spent a couple of days with Mr, & Mrs, Twin Rader. Mrs. Ray Rader, president of Dashwood W.I. attended the London Area Institute Con- ference at Tillsonburg last week. Brenda Rader spent a few days. with her grandmother, Mrs. Hilda Rader, last week. Jeremy Edward Valentine, infant son of Mr, and Mrs. John Becker was baptized in Zion Lutheran Church Sunday, November 14, by Rev. Mayo Meliecke. Sponsors were Bill and Carol Hoffman. Pastor and Mrs. Arthur Rader, Marc and Sarah, formerly of Calgary Alberta, spent a few days with Mr, and Mrs. Elgin Rader and Brian prior to taking up residence at Bramalea where Arthur will be installed as Pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Sunday, November 21..- _. Sunday "visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Ross Love were Mr. & Mrs. Ed. Gill, Mrs. Nola Taylor, and Mrs. Ruth Hendrick, Grand Bend; and Mrs. Edith Love, Exeter. Senior Citizens will meet Monday, November 22. Mrs. Frieda Bruer, New Hamburg, is spending sortie time with Mr. & Mrs. Harold Schroeder and family also visiting with Mrs. Susan Snider on the occasion of her birthday. Mr. & Mrs. Edward Restemayer and Brett, Alliston, spent the weekend with Mr. & Mrs. Albert Miller and also visited Mrs. Susan Snider. Flowers in Zion Lutheran Church, Sunday, were placed by friends of Mrs. Susan Snider in honor of her 90th. birthday. Congratulations to Louis Restemayer who will be 90 Sunday, November 21. 1 11 1 1 11 1 11 1 1 1 Young People Sunday, November 14, the Young People of Zion Lutheran Church held their first official meeting of the 76-77 year. The young people of Goderich Lutheran Church joined with them. The afternoon was spent at Stephen Central school playing Basketball and Volleyball. Pastor Barz's team was Basketball champs while Sheila Miller's team was victorious in Volleyball. Following recreation, everyone returned to the .church for a delicious potluck supper, They finished the day with a sing song. The Young People are very pleased to report there were 25 teenagers from the church along with 10 guests, 4-H Meeting The fifth meeting of Dash- wood 4-H girls club no. 3 was held at the home of Maxine Miller. Roll call was, "Three things I learned about flour." The girls made Lasagna and worked on a Collage depicting different ways cereals can be used. The girls all participated in a short quiz. U.C.W. Meeting : The November meeting of the United Church Women of Calvary was held Tuesday, November 9, with the Stewardship and Recruiting opened by Rev. Bruce Guy who introduced us to "Bigger Somebodies". He read an Armistice poem and a 1 minute silence, Devotional study • was read by Mrs. Letta Taylor followed by a duet by Mrs. Gordon Bender and Mrs. Jack Gaiser. Developing the topic was read by Mrs. Bruce Guy with Mrs. Jack Gaiser reading, "To Love the Unlovable; " Mrs. Gordon Bender, "To love ones Enemies"; Mrs. Jessie Rader, "To love by commandment," Donations were made to Care, C.N.I.B., Leprosy Mission, Children's Aid Society, Bible Society, Crippled child treatment centre, War Memorial, World Relief, Victor Home, John Milton, Mustard seed. The Sunshine committee is Mrs. Ralph Weber. Rev. Guy read the election of officers for 1977, past president Mrs. J.M. PRESIDENT, Mrs. High Boyle; vice-presidents, Mrs. Don Gaiser and Mrs. Clayton Merner; recording secretary, Mrs. Jack Gaiser; treasurer, Mrs. Wm. Chandler; piaanist, Mrs. Ken McCrae.
