Senior citizens club
holds Hallowe'en Party
A Hallowe'en Party was held
at the Three Links Senior Citi-
zens Club on Tuesday, October
19 for their monthly meeting.
The entertainment committee
consisted of Mrs. Myrtle Sher-
ritt and Mr. and Mrs. Carl
Payne. After a sing -song with
Mrs. Sherritt at the piano,
games were enjoyed led by
Mrs. Payne and her husband. It
was great fun and there were
plenty of laughs. The hall was
nicely decorated in keeping with
the theme.
At the business session,
chaired by Mr. Percy Campbell,
a committee of Mrs. Olga
Chipchase, Mrs. Gertie Moir
and Mrs. Ruby Bell was formed
to work out something for the
afternoons of each week of the
following months in the way of
recreation and work periods.
Mrs. Rosa Harris and Mrs.
Dorothy Mickle gave a splendid
report of the Rally of Zone 8,
Huron County, held October 14
at the Saltford Valley Hall,
hosted by the Goderich Club.
To finish the evening, Mr.
and Mrs. Gordon Love and Mrs.
Elizabeth Alexander, along with
the entertainment committee
treated all to homemade pump-
kin pie with whipped cream, tea
and coffee. A vote of thanks by
our President was extended to
both committees for a splendid
evening.
4411 Clubs meet
The third meeting of Hensall
No. 2 4-H Club was held Tues-
day evening, October 19, at the
home of Mrs. Joyce Pepper.
We discussed a suitable name
for our club and decided on
"The Bran Muppets". We also
discussed how modern food pro-
cessing transforms basic grains
into a variety of cereal products.
Mrs. Pepper demonstrated how
to make nuts and bolts and
cherry bran squares which were
enjoyed by all.
The fourth meeting of Hen-
sall No. 1 4-H, "The Barley
Buddies" was held at Becky
Baker's house on Tuesday,
October 19, 1976. We started
the meeting by making bran

WORK ON COMMUNITY CENTRE GOES ON—Volunteer workers at the community centre are
helping to keep the cost of the job down. Arena manager, Jerry Rader, works from inside one of the
holes being dug around the exterior of the arena in order to pour cement pilings for support. Centre
