Grade 8 pupils from Stephen
Central school spent sometime
at Camp Sylvan last week.
Those from Dashwood were
Dean Boyle, Terry Bender,
Allan and Kim Gaiser and Judy
Mellecke. Thursday evening the
parents were invited for a corn
roast with the following attend-
ing Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Boyle,
Mr. and Mrs. Don Bender, Mr.
and Mrs. Jack Gaiser and
Pastor and Mrs. Mayo Mel -
lecke. •
Jim White has moved to
Ailsa Craig having sold his
home to Fred Gleinik of Wood-
ham.
Mrs. Amelia Willert, who has
been a patient at University
Hospital, expects to go to her
daughter's home, Mrs. Bob_
. Newton, London, this week.
Miss Shawn Rader, London,
spent the weekend with Mr.
and Mrs. Irvin Rader.
Miss Sharon Rader, London,
spent the weekend with Mr.
and Mrs. Irvin Rader.
Recent visitors with Mrs.
Della Tomlinson were Louis
Avichouser, Largo, Florida; Mr.
and Mrs. Harold Green, Port
Huron, Michigan; and Mrs.
Patti Seuton, Royal Oak, Michi-
gan.
Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Reste-
mayer accompanied by Mr. and
Mrs. Adoph Keller spent 10
days at Inverlocky fishing. The
fishing was very slow but on
the last day Aaron caught a
15 pound 39 inch pike. Mr.
and Mrs. Irvin Rader returned
home Saturday after spending a
week there. The weather was
beautiful, the scenery wonder-
ful and the fishing fair.
Mrs. Amelia Willert is a
patient in South Huron Hos-
pital, Exeter; Doug Mason re-
turned home Sunday from the
same hospital; Bob Hoffman
has returned home 'from Uni-
versity Hospital.
Mrs. Elizabeth Rogers, Spar-
ta, spent a few days with her
sister, Mrs. Verda Moulton,
and they both attended the
Trillium Button club, Mount
Elgin.
Mrs. Hilda Rader has return-
ed home following a visit in
London and Dorchester with
members of her family.
Miss Pearl Kraft returned
home after spending a week in
London with Mr. and Mrs.
Art Haugh.
Mr. and Mrs, Walter Fas-
sold, Grand Bend and Mrs.
Verda Catt, Manitoba, called
on Miss Pearl Kraft.
Visitors with Mr. and Mrs.
Lloyd Rader were Mr. and Mrs.
Glen Rader, Heather and Alan
and Mr, and Mrs, Jim Lynn,
Woodham. 'The occasion mark-
ed a birthday for Glen and a
first anniversary for Jim and
Darlene Lynn.
Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Miller
and family attended the Doug-
las -Ford wedding at Arthur,
Friday, September 17 where
Miss Vicki Miller was guest
soloist, Others attending were
the bride's grandmother, Mrs.
Hilton Ford; Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Ford, Dashwood; Mr. and Mrs.
Bob Forrester, Zurich; Mr. and
Mrs. Russ Broderick and Mrs.
Ahnira Ford, Exeter.
Seniors enjoy slides
Forty-three were in attend-
ance at the Senior Citizens
meeting. Mervyn Tiernan, pres-
ident, presided for the bus-
iness. Group 1 with Charles
Martene convener was in
charge of the program. Mary
Ann Desjardine played the
guitar and sang. Harry Harleib
spoke on "Rocks". He showed
slides and had a fine display.
The Shredded T'Wheats
Dashwood Club No. 3, "The
Shredded T'Wheats", held
their first meeting of the fall
project, "The Cereal Shelf"

Zion Lutheran Church Women's
Missionary League, attended
the L.W.M.L. convention at
London Friday and Saturday
at Trinity Lutheran Church and
Sir Wilfrid Laurier Secondary
School.
The theme was "Saints
Arise" and $14,000 was approv-
ed for a number of projects.

"All interested persons from area
are welcome for Registration."
There will be two, eight week sessions:
Players may register for the October -November session, or
the January -February session, or both.
Total Fee of $12 for 8 -week schedule should be paid night of
registration.

Everyone answered the roll
call, "A cereal product that I
have never eaten but would
like to try". Discussion fol-
lowed on"Cereals for everyday
eating". Everyone helped in
making frypan cookies which
were realy delicious.
The average Ontario family

uses in making coffee and
toast any morning.
Conservation and fiscal re-
straint have become ' key con-
siderations in Ontario Hydro's
planning process.

Enjoy guest speakers
The Literature and Communi-
cations group with Mrs, Don
Gaiser, chairlady, was in charge
of the September meeting of
Calvary United Church Women
and the theme for the evening
was "Show Jesus Your
Hands". The scripture reading
was ready by Mrs. E.R. Guen-
ther. Meditation for the worship
was taken by the group. Prayer
by Mrs. Don Gaiser.
The men were guests as Rev.
and Mrs. Bruce Pierce of Credi-
ton, guest speakers, showed
pictures of the West where
they were ministering prior to
coming to Crediton. They shar-
ed a display of arts and crafts
and their warm atmosphere was
enjoyed by all. They were
thanked by Mrs. Clayton Mern-
er.
Mrs. Mervyn Tiernan, presid-
ent, dealt with the business.
The roll call was answered by
19 members. The Sunshine
committee is Mrs. Don Gaiser
'and Mrs. Eben Weigand.
