Ronald, Cathy and Kim of
Kippen; Mr. and Mrs. Lewis

Kippen; and Mrs Vera Johnston
of Brucefield. Local visitors

spent the weekend with her

and grandaughter Julie Carter,
Seaforth, Mr. & Mrs. William
Brown, Jr, and daughter Andrea,
Guelph visited recently with Mrs.
F.G. Bonthron.

visitors with Rey. W.A. Young
and Mrs. Young in Elora.
Rev. W.D. Jarvis conducted
service in Carmel Presbyterian
Church on Sunday delivering an
inspiring message on "The
double commitment." Mrs.
Malcolm Dougall presided at the
organ. Rally Day will be held on
Sunday, September 19, Sunday
School teachers will meet,
Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
Mrs. Doris Bonthron and Miss
Janice Bonthron, London visited
relatives here recently.
Mrs. Ross Corbett was hostess
at her home on Wednesday
evening when she entertained in.
honour of Miss Cindy Parker
bride -elect of this week. Mrs,
Jack Corbett gave a reading and
Mrs. Don - Mousseau read an
address and the bride -elect was
presented with many
miscellaneous gifts. A social hour
followed when refreshments
were served.
Mrs. William Inch was hostess
at her home at Huron Park when
she entertained relatives in honor
of Miss Cindy Parker, bride -elect
of this week. Contests were en-
joyed by all and Cindy was
presented with a shower of
miscellaneous gifts. A socia 1
hour followed and refreshments
were served by the hostess.
CHURCH NEWS
The Hensall United Church
service was conducted by Rev.
Don Beck assited by Mrs. John
Turkheim at the organ. The
sermon was on the topic, "Who
do you say I am?" and urged us
to establish our identity as
Christians. The choir sang the
anthem, "Holy, Holy, Holy"
Several new members were in
the choir and we welcome their
help in this capacity. Next
Sunday will be Children's Day
Service at Hensall at 11 a.m.
and Chiselhurst will hold their
116 Anniversary celebration at
2 p.m. - (continued on page 10)

MR. AND MRS. ROBERT CAMPBELL
Carmel Presbyterian Church, Hensall was -the setting for the August 21
wedding of Nancy Jane Stretton and William Robert Campbell. The
bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Stretton, Hensall, and
the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Campbell, RR 1, Exeter.
Susan Stretton, sister of the bride, was maid of honour and
bridesmaids were Susan Brintnell, Exeter; Peggy Campbell and Jayne
Consitt, Hensall. Doug Ferguson, Exeter, was best man and guests
were ushered by Wayne Campbell, Exeter, Brian Campbell, Hensall,
and Jim MacFarlane, Goderich. Following their honeymoon to the
Southern States the couple took up residence at RR 1, Hensall.
