in the morning and stayed all day. By any standard, the day was a complete success and a lot of fun.

Only two accidents
reported in area
Only two accidents were in-
vestigated by the Exeter OPP
this week.
In one df them, a four-year-old
sustained cuts and bruises when
he fell out of the back seat of a
car.
Dennis Bauman, R.R. 2, Alma,
was driving on Highway 84 at
the junction of Highway 4 in
Hensall when his son, Denny,fell
out. The lad was apparently
leaning on the door.
Constable Don Mason in-
vestigated the mishap, which
occurred on Saturday.
The other accident was
reported on Friday when a
vehicle driven by Michael Jef-
frey, R.R. 2, Zurich, left Highway
21 after his vehicle blew a tire.
The vehicle struck a fence and
total damage was listed at $275 by
Constable Frank Giffin.
32 char+sed
During the week, the local
detachment officers charged 32
people under the Highway Traffic
Act, six under the Liquor Licence
Act, one under the Criminal Code
and one under the Narcotic
Control Act.
Investigations
Investigations were as
follows:one fraud, one missing
person, four prowler complaints,
four wilful damage, four dis-
turbances, one dog complaint,
one assault, two domestic com-
plaints, one break and•enter and
one insecure premises.
Thieves
get $400
Thieves broke into the Cen-
tralia plant of Cook's Division of
Gerbro Corp. over the weekend
and made off with $400 in cash.
Entry was gained by means of
cutting a padlock on the door.
OPP Constable Dale • Lamont is
in charge of the investigation.

Seaforth hand plays
at Huronview
The Seaforth Citizens Band led
by Dr. Toll entertained the resid-
ents from 7 - 8 on Friday evening
with an hour of band music and
also played a concert in the
library park at Clinton from 8:30
to 9:30.
Marie Flynn and Norman Spier
provided the old tyme music for
Monday's activities withvocal
and dance numbers by Debbie
Flynn and Lorrie Dale.
The Kingsbridge Catholic Wo-
men's League were hosts for the
August Birthday Party. Follow-
ing the greetings by Father
Dentinger the residents enjoyed
the musical program with Mrs.
Elizabeth Frayne as M.C. There
was dancing by Lisa Frayne,
vocal solos by Donna Errington
and Mariane Frayne, baton twirl-
ing by Vicki Lynn Doherty and a
vocal duet by Father Dentinger
and Mariane Frayne. After the
singing of Happy Birthday, gifts
were presented to the celebrants.
Mrs. Isabella Hamilton cele-
brated her 102 birthday that
day and was able to come to the
party for a picture and enter-
tainment. Several of her relatives
and friends in her room including
Jack Riddell, M.P.P. Mrs. Mc-
Gratton thanked the ladies of the
league on behalf of the residents.
A group of musicians provided
the Family Night program on the
front lawn and by using their
sound system everyone in the
Horne were able to enjoy the
music. The program was arrang-
ed by Dwayne Tinney of Exeter
and included Clifford McDonald
and Jim and Glenn Nott. Mrs.
Henderson expressed the appre- '
ciation of the residents for the
entertainment.
