Another week has passed and
there seems little to do except
stay inside out of the rain and
cool winds which seem to persist
almost every day. However, we
are hoping for sonlethin.g better
so that at least it will be pleasant-
ly Harm to sit out on the patio
for the remainder of the summer.
One of the next events of the
area will be the Zurich Bean
Festival at which time the Resid-
ent look forward to seeing out of
town triends and relatives drop
in for a visit. The Ladies Auxil-
iary of the Horne have a quilt on
display here and tickets are
available at the tuckshop. The
draw will be made at the Bean
Festival. Proceeds of course, are
for Resident comforts.
On Wednesday evening, Resid-
ents who enjoy bingo travelled
to the Zurich arena by bus.
Although they didn't bring the
jackpot home, they enjoy the

outing Residents who have been
out for visits during the past
week were Mrs. Mary Sturley,
Mrs. Mabel Gossman, Mrs. Anne
Oligny, Mrs. Alma Southcott,
Mrs. Adeline Kraft, Miss Cecil
McLeod. Mr. Scott Chandler,
Mr's. Jennetta Finnigan who
spent several days at Dutton
and took in the Highland Games
and Mrs. Susan Snider returned
from Alliston after an extended
visit with her nephew.
On Friday evening bingo was
played followed by refreshments.
We Lyouid like to express our
thanks to Turkheinl Furniture of
Zurich for furnishing one of the
Maplewoods Apartments which
we have had open for display,
We appreciate all the time and
work involved by Mr. Herb
Turkheim in helping make the
apartment attractive for interest-
ed tenants,
The Sunday evening chapel
service was conducted by Rev.
Brian Harristo11 of Bayfield
Baptist Church. Miss Shirley
Keys of .Bayfield presided at the
organ during the worship service.
Mrs, Amelia Schroeder, for-
merly of 1Iensall, celebrated her
941ll birthday on Monday at the
Blue Water Rest Home, Zurich,
where she is 0 resident.
Mrs. Schroeder is very alert
and spends most of her link
braiding mats for the craft shop.
Members of her family
celebrated her birthday with her
and she was the recipient of
many gifts and a birthday cake.
News Of Huronview
Mrs. Muriel Harrison sang two
solo numbers at the Sunday
morning chapel service con-
ducted by the Chaplain Rev.
McWhinnic.
4 Mr. Bob Heywood, lit' Exeter,
entertained on "Family 'Night -
singing sacred, country and west-
ern and old tyme tunes. Bob
provided his own accordion
acconlpanlinen t by using his
sound equipment everyone both
in the building and out on the
lawn were able to enjoy the
music. 'I\VL) sisters Grace Camp-
bell and Ruth •ToAvnsend sant;
two sacred numbers and Scott'
Easton a long; time friend of Bob
Heywood expressed the apprecia-
tion attic residents.
Thirty-one members of the
"Over YO ' C'iulb met on the north
patio on Wcdnesdity afternoon.
Music for the afternoon was
provided by Mrs. Elsie Hender-
son with her portable organ and
Karen McGregor with the accord-
ion. The Walkerhurn yoluntccls
assisted with the activities and
the kitchen stall provided the
lunch.
About People
Mrs. Mac Davidson spent a
few weeks with Mr. and Mrs.
Aaron Jantzi and Fergus, R.R. 1,
Dublin, Ontario, also visited Mrs.
Rita Butson, and Mr. and Mrs.
Bill Butson, all of Staffa, and Mr.
and Mrs. Wes Parsons, Mitchell.
