Obituary
Mrs. Margaret Doan
Passes in Alberta
Mrs. Margaret (Bell) Doan
passed away in Drumheller
Hospital, Alberta on July 25 in
her 99th year. She was the
daughter of the late James and
Marion Bell of Hensall, and
moved to Alberta in 1908 where
she taught school until her
marriage to the late Edwin Doan.
Surviving is a son, Jack,
daughers Mrs. Don (Ethel)
Sharpe, and Mrs. Olf. (Marion)
Tiessen, all of Alberta.

Aaron and Flossie Jantzi,
R.R. 1, Dublin, were guests of
honor by their family at their
daughter and son-in-law, Alf and
Joy Ross and family, R.R. 2,
Staffa, when a barbecue was
held on Sunday, July 18. They
were presented with a lazy boy
chair and blender.
Flossie Jantzi was the daughter
of the late Mr. and Mrs. At'na
Stetek from Hillsgrcen and Aaron
Jantzi was the son of the late
Mr. and Mrs. Michael ,Jantzi,
New Ham burg.
On Sunday, July 25, the
anniversary date, relatives Rath-

reunion
The twenty-sixth annual Kalb-
fleisch reunion was held Sunday,
August 8, on the spacious groun-
ds of Charles and Marilyn Kalb-
fleisch, Varna, Ontario. About
50 members of the clan attended
from Detroit, Petoskey, Michi-
gan; Ann Arbor; Port Huron;
Mt. Clemens. Michigan; Ariz-
ona; Toronto; London; Burling-
ton; Elmira and Zurich.
A delicious smorgasbord lunch
was served after which contests
were enjoyed under the leader-
ship of Mrs. Harvey Hohner.
The following were prize win-
ners: the oldest person attend-
ing, Clarence Reist; gentleman
with most pennies, Raymond
Kalbfleisch; lady with most
buttons, Mrs. Pearl Stayers;
shortest couple, Lorne and Mild-
red Klopp; couple married most
number of years, Lloyd and
Margaret Kalbfleisch; youngest
child present, Julie Kalbfleisch.
Elizabeth Deichert and her
assistants Susan Deichert and
Margie Deichert provided games
and races for the children which
were greatly enjoyed.
The following officers were
elected for 1977: past presid-
ent, L.H. Kalbfleisch; presid-
ent, Harvey Hohner; vice presid-
ent, Richard Schilbe; secretary,
Mrs. Harvey Hohner; treasurer,
Dr. Herbert Kalbfleisch.

ated anniversary cake was in the
centre of the dining room table,
with candles on each side and
flowers.
A smorgasbord supper was
served. They received flowers,
gifts raid cards with good wishes.
Relatives attended from Detroit,
Windsor, London, Stratford, Tor-
onto, Mississauga, New Ham-
burg. Baden and Zurich.
