Don Johnston accidentally got
too close to the power Lawn
mower at his home and lost two
toes on one foot and badly mang-
led the top of the other foot.
Due to excellent care in the Clin-
ton Hospital Mark is corning
along quite nicely, 'We all wish
you a quick and complete re-
covery, Mark.
Auctioneer L. Bowes from To-
ronto held a successful auction of
various articles and antiques in
the Arena on Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Norman F. Coop-
er of Mt. Clemens, Michigan,
and Bayfield arc vacationing at
their residence on Clan Gregor
Square.
Mrs. J. M. Atkinson attended
the funeral of her sister, Mrs.
Margaret Mack, in Toronto.
Guests with Mr. and Mrs.
Norm Talbot on the week end
were the former's aunt and uncle,
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Workman
from Woodstock, -and cousins,
Mr. and Mrs. Bert Caster from
Lansing, Michigan. They also
called on Mr. Ray Schell at the
Senior Citizens Apartments.
Mr. and Mrs. Murray Hardy of
London called on Mrs. Hardy's
brother Mr. and Mrs. Bert Bar-
wick last week.
Mr. Barwick's brother, Mr,
and Mrs. Les McArthur, from
Keswick, are spending a week
at the Homestead Trailer Park
and called on Mr. and Mrs. Bar-
wick. Visiting at the same home
were Mr. and Mrs. Westerbout
and family, from Summerhill
last week.
MR. AND MRS. ROBERT RATHWELL
Katherene Louise Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest R. Davis of
Hensall and Robert John 'Rothwell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lep-
pington, Bayfield were married on June 26 at the Hensall United
1 Church, Hensall by the Rev. Donald Beck. The attendants were matron
of honour, Anne Spanton, Point Edward, bridesmaid Mary Ann
Rathwell, Bayfield and junior bridesmaid, Karen Campbell, Hensall.
The groom was attended by Brian Semple, Bayfield, and the ushers
were Walter Leppington, Clinton, and John Fowler, London. Following
the marriage, a dinner was held in the Fellowship Hall of the United
Church and later a dance was held in the Zurich Community Centre.
After their honeymoon in Niagara Falls, the couple took up residence
in Hensall.
