returned to his home on Friday,

North Hollywood California spent
the weekend with Mrs. Pearl

Mrs. Doug Wein and David of
Whitby and Mr. & Mrs, Don
Dalton and Carla of Seaforth
were recent visitors with Mr. &
Mrs. Harold Parker and attended
the Parker reunion held in Exeter
on Saturday.
Mr. & Mrs. Ted Naminton and
family of Ottawa visited with
their aunt Miss Mattie Ellis who
is a patient in South Huron
Hospital, Exeter.
Mr. & Mrs. Bill Shaddick and
Mark of London were weekend
visitors with the former's mother
Mrs. Pearl Shaddick.
Mr. & Mrs. Carey Joynt and
David of Bethlehem, Penn. called
on relatives here last week.
Mr. & Mrs. Brian Collins and
Sarah of Kitchener visited
recently with the latter'smother
Mrs, Laird Mickle.
Mrs. Dot Munroe of Seaforth
visited this yveek with Mrs.
Bertha MacGregor.
Mrs. Laird Mickle and grand-
daughter Judith Mickle visited
last Saturday evening with the
former's daughter and son-in-law
Mr. & Mrs. Ross MacMillan and
family at Southcott Pines where
they are holidaying for six weeks.
Mr. & Mrs. Jack McDonald of
Brampton spent the weekend
with their grandparents, Mr. &
Mrs. Edgar Cudmore,
Mr. and Mrs. L. Eringa of
Dronten, the Netherlands, arc
spending a few weeks with the
latter's brother and family, Mr.
and Mrs. Harry Van Wicren and
also visited other relatives in
Pembrookc and Bcechburg over
the weekend.
Mrs, Irene Kennedy of Grand
Bend, accoriipanied by Mrs.
Nagel, a physiotherapist from
St. Joseph's Hospital, ,London
visited with Mrs. Daisy Ivey
whom she had met while she was
a patient in St. Joseph's.
Andrew Mason of Huron Park
is spending ten days with his
grandparents, Mr, and Mrs.
John Skea.
Mrs. Janice Bisback and
Victoria had a pleasant holiday
visiting with the former's mother,
Mrs, Roger Whitman .at the
cottage at Selkirk.
Mr. •Wilbert Dining, who was
80 on July 26, celebrated his
birthday on July 25 with a family
gathering and afterwards accom-
panied his son Clarence to
Sarnia where he stayed for a
week. On his return, Mr. and
Mrs, Clarence Dillling, Christa
and Brian visited with Mrs. Anna
Dining who is a patient in the
Queeensway Nursing Horne.

Oud-Bcycrland, Holland arrived
Sunday night for a month's
visit with Mr. and Mrs. Sim
Roobal and Mr. and Mrs. Don
'Dodds of Seaforth.
Paul and Joan Dodds have been
spending a few days with their
grandparents Mr. and
Mrs. Sun Roobal.
About 50 neighbours and
friends gathered at the home of
Lionel Wilder recently for a
shower in honour of Gloria Jean
Adkins, bride of August 14.
Bingo winners were Marjorie
•Consitt, Julia Consitt, Sandra
Coleman, Mrs. Orland Reichert,
Helen Jacobs, Joyce Taylor,
agnes Madge. Peggy Willard,
Mrs. Vanden Boomcn. The
door prize was won by Mrs.
Stewart Blackwell, Following
Bingo, gifts were presented to
Gloria Jean by Ftenda and
Laura Wilder. After opening the
many lovely gifts, Gloria
Jean charmingly thanked all
present. Lunch was served
by Mrs. Wilder, Elaine Weido
and Brenda and Laura Wilder.
Bride -elect honored
Mrs. Lionel Wilder was hostess
for neighbors and friends of Miss
Gloria Adkins, bride -elect of this
month.
Brenda Wilder and Catharine
Weido conducted games and the
guest of honor was presented
with many beautiful gifts. Miss
Laura Wilder assisted the bride
with the gifts.
A grocery shower was held at
the home of Mrs. Chris Beierling,
Dashwood for relatives and
friends of the bride -elect who was
the recipient of many useful
articles for her home.
Mrs. Verne Smith, Exeter, was
hostess at her home on Wed-
nesday evening when fellow
workers and friends honored
Gloria with a miscellaneous
shower. Contests were enjoyed
by all and the guest of honor was
seated in a decorated chair and
presented with many gifts. Miss
Linda Vanneste assisted the
bride with her gifts.
