Zurich Citizens News, 1976-06-30, Page 19Playhouse opens with musical comedy "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown" by Clark Gcsner is the opening performance of the Huron County Playhouse this season. The first production runs from June 30 to July 3 with Wednesday and Saturday matin- ees at 2 p.m., evening per- formances every night at 8:30 p.m, Frank Canino directs the musi- cal with Barbara Young musical director and actors David Dunbar, Alicia Jeffery, Robert Landar, James Saar, Ed Taylor and Janet Thorpe. This musical is based on a day with Lucy, Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the whole peanuts gang including favourite situations of all Peanuts fans. Lucy pours out her heart to Schroeder, Linus dances with his ever-present blanket and Snoopy has a running battle with the Red Baron. The dialogue is funny, the songs are breezy and the characters are the essence of childhood. The show is suitable for children but was created for adults. Seasons tickets to the Play- house are still on sale but this is the last week they will be available. For $30.00 you are entitled to eight admissions which may be used in any com- bination you choose. Terasa Castonguay, in charge of public relations for the playhouse, says they have sold at least 10 to 15% more season's tickets this year than last. Private donations have also been very good this year, the largest totaling $10,000.
