Golden Wedding Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur L. Brisson
of 32 Goshen Street, S., formerly
of Bayfield and Grosse Pointe,
Michigan, convey their warmest
and fondest thank you to all their
dear relatives, personal friends
and neighbours for their most
beautiful gifts, flowers and cards
and masses in keeping with their
Golden Wedding Anniversary
on June 12th. A day long to be
remembered as many crowded
their "Horne" church once again,
St. Peters, St. Joseph, where the
High Mass of Thanksgiving and
renewal of vows were exchanged
with Fr. A. Bensette officiating
and Rt. Rev. Msgr. Wm. Bourd-
eau in attendance. Mrs. Brisson
was presented with a gold band
covered in diamond chips at the
ceremony.
A private reception was held
and enjoyed at the Dashwood
Community Centre and reunion
of the original families and
friends of the Brisson's also.
Two daughters, Mrs. Armeline
(John) Van Slencbrauck of Harper
Woods, Michigan; Mrs. Irene Jr.
(Samuel) Candela of Sterling
Heights and seven grandchildren.
Also attending were Mr. and
Mrs. George Lewis (brother of
Mrs. Brisson) of Dearborn,
Michigan; Mr. and Mrs. John
(Kathleen) Leal of Fort Erie;
Mrs. Velma Cemino and daughter
of Los Angelos, California;
Mr. and Mrs. Victor Brisson and
daughters of East Detroit. Both
sides of the border from far and
near were well represented with
a pleasant memory until we meet
again.
Flower appeal
up considerably
The arca continues to show its
interest in the mentally han-
dicapped in an increased way.
Donna Greb, chairman of
Flowers of Hope for the South
Huron and District Association
for the Mentally Retarded
reports this year's campaign as
the best ever.
Donations amounted to $8,043.
That's $2,0011 more than last year.
