BLUE WATER REST HOME
We hope you missed our
column last week, but because of
the holiday week -end and a
number of other commitments,
we didn't meet the deadline.
However, we will try to fill you in
on the happenings of the past
two weeks.
Last week the residents enjoy-
ed a bus tour along Lake Huron to
Goderich and home by way of
Clinton, making a few detours in
order to avoid road construction.
We appreciate the various
donations of materials, nylons,
cards, knee wraps for wheel chair
Residents which were made by
various church groups, also the
donation of fresh asparagus
as well as rhubarb.
On Sunday May 23rd, the Resi-
dents enjoyed the services of
Mrs. Luther of the Salvation
Army who conducted the chapel
service. Mrs. Coulter presided
at the organ during the worship

reports
By Mrs. Rerni Denomme
The monthly meeting of the
Catholic Women's League of
St. Boniface council was held on
the 18th day of May with an
attendance of 38 members. The
newly elected president, Mrs.
Jerome Sweeney, opened and
conducted the meeting: all newly
elected executives being present.
,The reports given by the presi-
dent and Mrs. Claude Gelinas on
the Diocesan convention which
they attended on May 11 and
12, in Sarnia, were the highlights
of the meeting. Much business
was discussed before the meeting
adjourned. A delicious lunch was
served by the committee in
charge. Our best wishes to all
the new executives.

On Wednesday evening, the
students of Mrs. Dorothy Stade
presented a musical recital in the
dining room. The piano and or-
gan music presented by the
students was very much enjoyed
by the Residents, as well as the
participation of some of the
parents who accompanied their
children in piano and organ duets
vocal numbers, guitar and violin
accompaniaments. We wish to
thank Mrs. Stade and all who took
part in the programme and hope
she will plan a similar programme
sometime in the future.
The sympathy of Residents and
staff is extended to the family of
the late Mr. Grant Edighoffer.
On Friday evening, bingo was
enjoyed 'followed by refresh-
ments. Mr. & Mrs. John Rau
are the first to take up residency
in Maple Woods Apartments.
While Mr. & Mrs. Rau moved
from London, they spent most
of their life in this area. By the
time this column reaches you,
several of the completed apart-
ments will be occupied. No doubt
members of the Senior Citizens
Club of the area will be glad
to welcome these people, some of
whom they will be well acquain-
ted with, others will be strangers
to the area.
On Sunday evening the chapel
service was conducted by Rev.
Bennett of Bayfield Anglican
Church. Mrs. Johnston presided
at the organ during the worship
service.
