Hensall campaign up
The Hensall Kinsmen raised
$430.40 in the village for the
Exeter branch of the Canadian
Cancer Society this year. This is
a substantial increase over last
year's total.
Chairman of the canvassing
program in the village was
Kinsman Bob Heil. He turned
the Hensall donations over to
Gernot Dauber to be included in
the Exeter branch total.
The Exeter branch of the
Canadian Cancer Society includes.
the townships of Hay, Stephen
and Usborne plus the towns and
villages in that area. The goal of
the Exeter branch this year is
$6,800. Hensall's donations
raised the total collected so far
to $6,565.60, 97% of the branch's
goal. As there are still donations
outstanding, the branch should
not only meet its goal, they stand
a good chance of exceeding it
as well. Last year's donations
fell short of the goal set.
