Dashwood men learn
ways of serving pork

4-H GIRLS
Dashwood club - no. 2 held
their eighth and final meeting
April 28th with aft 14 girls pre-
sent. The rollcall was to show the
free choice article and favorite
stitch.
Everyone showed the article
and some of them chose satin
stitch, back stitch, and the
French Knot. The next meeting
is a get together on May 3 at
Dashwood community centre.
Discussion was on Achieve-
ment Day.
DASHWOOD MEN'S CLUB
Dashwood Men's Club held
their monthly dinner meeting
Friday, April 30, with their
wives as special guests. Follow-
ing the dinner catered to by
Dashwood WI guest speaker A.
Buck, representative of the
Ontario Pork Producers Market-
ing Board demonstrated different
cuts in pork and spoke on special
ways of serving pork.

After the demonstration the
cuts of meat were auctioned off
with a nice profit.
Dancing to Bob Heywood's'
orchestra followed.

spent the weekend with Mr.and

Professor and Mrs. Leonard
Burke, Guelph are spending some
time with Mr.and Mrs. Vernon
Schatz, Mrs. Luella Calfas,
Sarnia was a Saturday visitor.
Laurie Becker, Elizabeth
Datars, Jayne Hayter and Vickie
Miller young adults from Zion
Lutheran church attended the
Youth Congress at Holy Cross
church, Kitchener on the week-
end.
The Lutheran Women's
Missionary League of Zion Luth-
eran church held their quarterly
Missionary meeting with Mrs.
Albert Miller in charge of the
topic "Where There's a Will".
This was a study of the Christian
Nehemiah.
Huronview news
Mr. Dick Roorda of Brucefield
led the song service on Sunday
evening with several musical'
numbers by the Clinton Christian
Reformed Youth Choir,
Marie Flynn and Norman
Speir provided the old time music
for the Monday program. Mor-
gan Dalton sang two solo
numbers for the sing song and
the Clinton Christian Reformed
volunteers assisted with activi-
ties.
The "Family Night" program
was arranged by Miss Louise
Lovett of Summerhill. Miss Lovett
assists with music in some of
the schools as well as giving
individual piano lessons. The
pupils playing piano solos were

Susan VanEgmond,Wesley
Dalve, Kathy Penfoun& Eliza-
beth Reid, Mary Gibson, Jackie
Norman, Brenda Harris, Anita
