Leo Masse, owner of the Tenderspot in Grand Bend, has made some renovations to his store. This year he had outdone himself. The interior of the store has been entirely redecorated with all new adjustable shelves, new panelling, signs and displays. Also an addition was built making the store half again as big as before. The Tenderspot now has 16 feet more self -serve counters, an eight foot delicatessen count- er, 16 foot more frozen fish and meat counters, 20 more feet dairy counters and 22 feet more refrigerated produce counters. This allows the Tenderspot to increase quantities of meat and produce as well as increase the varieties of goods available. . Mr. Masse says they have added a great deal to their imp- orted food and groceries and frozen fish sections. "We now carry lobster tails, shrimp, envier, and many other specialty items," "We have also opened a delica- tessen where we will bar-b- que our own steaks, pork chops, chicken and carry a full line of salads." Mr. Masse has always done his own neat processing, having the cattle killed for him elsewhere, "This means we can buy 'neat cheaper and sell it cheaper while keeping the quality high." Mr. Masse 's son Garry looks after the grocery section of the store with the help of five full- time and three part-time empl- oyees. Mr. Masse is kept busy handling the meat with the help of three part -tine and three full- time employees, one of whom is Danny, another son. The Tenderspot now has it's own ice making machine and an additional 160 square feet of quick-freeze. This enables them to butcher more and freeze faster for better quality.
