The president, Mrs. Harold Parker welcomed everyone and opened the meeting with an Easter poem. The Theme Song and Theme Prayer was repeated. Mrs. Vera Brintnell was in charge of the worship service entitled "The.. Meaning of the Cross". The members in answering the roll call read continuously from the Scriptures. An invitation was received from Alma College to send a delegation there this summer. The treasurer gave the financial. report and the quilting committee also reported. Mrs. Betty Stoneman was in charge of the program and read a poem on "Easter and Teen- agers". A slip and bloomer sale will be held at the May meeting. Arrangements were made to hold a Bake Sale in the Hensall United Church May 1. Everyone Personals Mr. Richard McCullough of Birr visited with his grandmother Mrs. Robert Middleton on Sun- day. Mr. & Mrs. Eldon Johnston of Brucefield visited with Mr. & Mrs. Gordon Schwalm, Mrs. Elizabeth Volland and Mrs. Daisy Ivey during the Easter holiday. Mr. Johnston has just returned from two months visit to Tucson from where he visited places in Mexico. Other visitors were Mr. & Mrs. Lewis • Taylor of Varna, Mr. & Mrs. Desmond Ivey of Sarnia who were accom- panied by their grandson Chris- topher from Maryland, Miss Dawn Brass, Montreal, Mrs. 11111..._ Margaret Coombs, Clinton, Aud- rey Haugh, Exeter, Mrs. Barbara Scott, Toronto' and Mr. & Mrs. Jim Finley Exeter. Town visitors who called were Mrs. Terry Haugh and baby, Mrs. Winnie Skea, Mrs. Bona Clark, Star Jesney, Danny Bozzato, Dereck Robinson, Jeff Sangster and Jamie Reid. Mr. & Mrs. John Skea had a pleasant Easter visit with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. & Mrs. Randy Mason of Huron Park. Charles Mickle spent the week end with his mother, Mrs. Laird Mickle and Mr. & Mrs. Brian Collins and baby Sarah spent Sunday and Monday with her. is cordially invited to attend. It was decided to purchase a lawn mower and Pearl Taylor and Dorothy Brintnell will visit during the next month, Mrs. Alvin Cole was in charge of the study and Mrs. Roberta Temple- man introduced the guest speaker .Mrs. Eaton who lives near Staffa. Mrs.• Eaton's husband is a minister and has spent much time in India during the 'draught years. He also preached at Orillia and is now in Bangladesh where the draught is again and he will spend several months there. Mrs. Eaton described their stay in India and the churches and the work they carried on while there. Dorothy Brintnell thanked the speaker and presented her Hensall Sales Barn Supply consisted mainly of heifers and steers; demand was active and prices were up. COMEDY PLUS - A very funny skit on "Today's World" as seen by senior citizens was performed by Bill Dowson and Debbie Rath - well.
