in this exciting game on Sunday.
Bob Hay held the goals to a

checking game, aided by the rest
of the team, to spoil most of
Drinkwalter's rushes.

late in the first period when
Robert Willert cashed in on a
play from Brian Horner. Early
in the second frame again, Robert
Willert blasted one by the pipes,
aided by Kris Bedard and Pat
Cyr. Meek scored for Little
Brittain, but before the buzzer
went, Zurich notched three more
goals, first David Erb connected
from Jing Willert, then Robert
Willert, then David Smith slipped
another in from Brian Horner and
Robert Willert.
Little Brittain outscored Zurich
with three goals in the last period
to Zurich's single by Jim Willert,

Bedard, but the locals carne up

Skaters
raise
About 50 skaters participated
in a Skateathon at the Hensail
Arena on Saturday to raise funds
for the Hensall Minor Athletic
Association. And their efforts
were well worthwhile, according
to Bill Taylor, who was in charge
of the project. Close to $800
was raised in pledges.
Bob Lavery, an active member
of the Minor Athletic Associat-
ion in Hcnsall, was the oldest
skater on the ice and also won
the honour for raising the most
amount of money in pledges.
He collected $105 from all the
sponsors who doubted his abil-
ity.
The skater making the most
laps in the project was Steve
Beer. All the skaters who start-
ed the event lasted right through
until finishing time, at one
o'clock in the afternoon (even
Bob Lavery). They had started
at eight o'clock in the morning.
Funds raised through the proj-
ect will be used for the sponsor-
ing of various athletic events
in the community.
