BAKE SALE
The Green Forest hosted a
bake sale and fashion show on
Wednesday afternoon and Friday
evening.
Proceeds from the bake sale
go to Grand Bend Gymnastics
for new unforms, and the fashion
show was for the Grand Bend
nursery school and the Zurich -
Grand Bend figure skating club.
GOLDEN AGE CLUB
The Golden Age club ladies
held a quilting last week at St.
John's Parish Hall, It is a large
size quilt, Poppy design, and will
be used as a money making
project.

spent a few holidays last week
in Grand Bend with her friend

A bridal shower was held last
week for Susan Stu -devant
at the home of Mrs. Bill W 2ber.
Mrs. Carrie Anne McAlpine
of Ailsa Craig demonstrated how
to make a terrarium during the
social time.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Webb,
London spent the weekend in
Grand Bend at their Ben-Ber
Lodge.
Mr. and Mrs. Duncan Mc-
Vittie, Robin and Lawrence of
Southampton visited Saturday
with her parents Mr. and Mrs.
Lawrence Johnson.
Mrs. Mae- Holt has been a
patient in St. Josephs hospital,
London when she suffered a heart
attack.
Mrs. Ed Gill and Mrs. Nola
Taylor attended a trans -
ceramics art seminar, at Marys-
ville Michigan on the weekend.
Erwin Holt has been a patient
in South Huron hospital Exeter.
Rev. and Mrs. John Campbell,
Laura Lee and Douglas visited
Thursday and Friday in Pontiac,
Michigan with her parents Mr.
and Mrs. Louie Walker.
Mr. and Mrs. John Allister
returned Wednesday from a five
week holiday in Florida. Mr.
and Mrs. Frank Allister and
family joined them for the last
two weeks and returned home
together.

part of a survey to determine the interest in this type of

Charges on
breakins
Charges have been Laid by
officers of the Exeter detachment
of the Ontario Provincial Police
concerning breakins at four
area business establishments.
Sgt. Norton Rhiness, head of
the detachment reports that two
adults and a juvenile have been
charged as the result of a breakin
at the Hensall District Co -
Operative store on March 22.
Three persons have also been
charged for similar entry at
Thompson's Mill in Hensall the
same day.
Wednesday, Drysdale's store
in Hensall was entered and $362
worth of property stolen. Two
persons have been charged and
$318.48 of the stolen property
has been recovered. Constable
Bob Whiteford is the investiga-
ting officer.
Saturday a breakin was re-
ported at Radford's Service
Station in Crediton. Two persons
have been charged and the mer-
chandise valued at $13 was
recovered. This incident was
investigated by Constable Al
Quinn.
Saturday, at 11 p.m. a vehicle
owned by Frances Ritchie, RRl
Centralia was struck by an
unknown vehicle while parked
on the municipal lot in Hensall.
Constable Ed Wilcox is the inv-
vestigating officer.
Sunday at 1.30 a.m. Constable
Quinn investigated a hit and run
accient on Highway 83, almost
a mile west of Huron Road 11.
A vehicle being operated by
James Cottle, RR 1, Woodham
was struck by an unknown east-
bound vehicle. Damage was
estimated at $,450.
