MR AND MRS GERARD DUCHARME
Emmanuel United Church, Zurich, was the setting for the February
28 wedding of Victoria Jeanne Hay and Gerard T. Ducharme.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Hay, Zurich
and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Avila Ducharme, R.R.2,
Zurich. Rev. Bruce Guy officiated. Mrs. Wendy Rowan, sister of
the bride was the matron of honour. Ron Oesch, friend of the
groom was the best man. The "guests were ushered by Fred Duch-
arme and Bill Hay. Mrs. Bonnie Ducharme sang three lovely
solos accompanied by Mrs. Nete Oesch. The young couple are now
residing at R.R.2, Lucan.

We hope that all of our read-
ers are back to normal after the
black out, and that when spring
is officially ushered in, it will
truly be spring weather.
On Monday evening we were
able to enjoy the films and the
refreshments that followed.
We were pleased to welcome
Mr. Lawrence Wein back after
his vacation in the south. He
joined the residents in the dining
room on Tuesday morning, pres-
iding at the piano and leading
in the singing.
On Wednesday evening the
,members of the Kippen Wom-
en's Institute were in charge of
the March birthday party.
A program of piano instrument-
als, readings and community
singing was enjoyed. Following
the program, a delicious birth-
day cake and ice cream was serv-
ed. Birthday gifts, courtesy
of the Ladies Auxiliary were dist-
ributed. Residents having
birthdays during the month of
March were Mrs. Jenny Hotson,
4-H Club

The first meeting of Zurich
III was held on Monday, March
15 at the home of Martha Neeb,
The club for this spring is called
a "Touch of Stitchery" which is
lead by Martha and Ina Neeb.
We elected our officers who
are as follows: president, Sylvia
Neeb; secretary, Connie Neeb;
treasurer, Patti Overholt; press
reporter, Peggy Hay.
We then decided on our club
name which is "Embroidery'Bud-
dies." The first stitch we learned
was the back stitch which proved
to be successful.

played followed by refresh-

The Sunday evening chapel
service was conducted by Rev.
Harold Snell of the Exeter United
Church, Mr. Robert Cameron
presided at the organ during the
service.
