Bayfield atoms down Zurich
The Bayfieldatoms scored a
7-6 victory over Zurich Friday
night as Wayne Gale fired the
winning goal with 50 seconds
left in regulation time.
It was Gale's second goal of
the game. Robert Siertsema
led the Bayfield scoring attack
with a four goal performance.
The other score for the winners
came from the stick of captain
Darin Telford.
Dean Armstrong paced the
Zurich marksmen with a four
goal effort. Captain Paul John-
ston notched the other two goals
for the losers.
In a Wednesday night contest
the same two teams played to a
3-3 tie.
Paul Johnston with two goals
was best for Zurich while Dwayne
Laporte added a single.
Robert Siertsema took care of
the Bayfield scoring all by himself
with a hat trick.

Hawaii, L.A. and Texas
Dashwood couple return ro holidays

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Weber
have returned home following a
five week vacation spent at
Aloha, Hawaii. They motored to
Los Angeles and were accompan-
ied by Raymond and Muriel
Scharder of North Dakota who
joined them at Wichita, Kansas.
From Los Angeles they flew
to Hawaii. On the return trip,
they visited Texas and spent a
day at Mexico City.
Eric Eagleson of Little Current,
Manitoulin Island, spent last
weekend with Mr. and Mrs.
Ralph Weber and flew back in
his plane which had been serviced
here.
Mrs. Martha Miller returned
home following an eleven day
visit with Mr. and Mrs. Siegfreed
Miller and family, Port Dover.
U.C.W. Meeting
The postponed meeting of
the United Church Women of
Calvary was held Tuesday after-
noon, February Nth with the
Literature and Communication
group in charge and Mrs. Don
Gaiser.,` chair lady. Psalm 67
was read responsively by the
group. Mrs. E.R. Guenther
read the scripture followed by a
prayer by Mrs. Cora Gaiser.
A meditation, "Storm the Fort"
was read by Mrs. Don Gaiser.

Mr. Irvin Steinman, Dashwood,
showed pictures of Quebec when
he and his wife worked with the
Mentally Retarded Institute.
He shared many interesting
experiences during the time he
worked there and also the emo-
tionally disturbed children at
Zurich. Now he and his wife take
them only in their home.
Mrs. Mervyn Tiernan, presi-
dent, conducted the business.
Worlds Day of Prayer will be
held at the Church of God,
Grand Bend, March 5. The Sun-
shine committee is Mrs. Mildred
Kellerman and Mrs. Howard
Hendrich.
Calvary United
The annual meeting of Calvary
United church was held Tuesday
eyeing February 10. Many mat-
ters of business were dealt with
and it was decided to have an
every member visitation. The
officers were returned.
PERSONALS
Mr. & Mrs. Mike Burke and
Susan, Brampton, were weekend
guests with Milt Haugh.
Sue Anne and Danny Becker
spent some time with their uncle
and aunt and cousins, Mr. and
Mrs. Howard Datars.
Cindy Becker was a house
guest with her uncle and aunt
and cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Becker for some time.
Miss Susan Whittier, Toronto,
spent the weekend with her
grandmother, Mrs. Hilda Wein.
Mr. & Mrs. Harry Hayter
accompanied by Mr. and Mrs.
Bob Hayter spent two weeks near
Gulf Harbor, Florida, where they
visited with Mr. and Mrs. Joe
Bruce of Windsor and Mr. and
Mrs. John Snider of Brantford.
They also visited many places
of interest. The weather varied
from high 80 to very cool.
Mr. & Mrs. Mike O'Leary and
Melissa, Lucan, were Sunday
uests with Mr. and Mrs. Dave
ader and Stacey.
Mr. & Mrs. Hubert Miller,
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ford, Mr. and
Mrs. Jack Riddell, and Mr. and
Mrs. John Brintnell, Baden, have
returned from a most enjoyable
trip to Jamaica.
