Community complaint
by Dashwood WI
By MRS. IRVIN RADER
The Agriculture and Canadian
Industry group with Mrs. Bill
Berends convener was in charge
of the January meeting of the
Dashwood Women's Institute.
Eleven members answered the
roll call "A beef I have about our
community which could be used
for a resolution."
Mrs. Ray Rader, president,
dealt with the business. Christ-
mas greetings were on display,
including one from Brother
Bob Mittleholtz which all the
workers at the centre had signed
including Adrianne Van Raay.
The Institute will sponsor four
euchre parties, two in January
and two in February. The ladies
were reminded that Achievment
Day for the 4-H girls was January
24 at Stephen Central School.
Mrs. Berends was chairlady
for the program. Mrs. Hilda
Rader discussed the motto,
"It doesn't do you any good to
sit up and take notice if you just

keep on sitting." Mrs. Letta
Taylor read "Thoughts for the
' Year."
The ladies were divided into
three groups and ideas for
resolutions were recorded and
later discussed. Senior citizens
and a nuclear power station in
Huron County seemed to be the
main concern. Mrs. Berends
brought the program to a close
with a poem, "Today."
