WI entertain
at Dashwood
By MRS. IRVIN RADER
DASH WOOD
Dashwood Women's Institute
held their Christmas meeting at
the Zurich hotel last Tuesday,
with the executive in charge.
Husbands or a friend were guests
at a Christmas dinner with 16
members and 15 guests present.
Following the dinner, a sing
song was enjoyed followed by a
brief business meeting. Ray
Rader and Letta Taylor won
lucky draws. Donations were
made to the War Memorial
hospital, Children's Aid, and the
Men's club Christmas children's
party. A gift is to be given a
member in hospital. Greetings to
other Institutes will appear in
Exeter Times Advocate. A prize
for one of the floats in Dashwood
parade will be donated. The
ladies were reminded not to
forget their secret pal.
Court whist was played with
winners, Mrs. Hilda Rader and
Eben Weigand; low, Mrs. Eben
Weigand and Syd Baker. Stuart
Wolfe thanked the ladies for an
enjoyable evening. Everyone
arrived home before the big
storm.
