C.P.T. committee. A candidate

Achievement
for 4-H girls
22 girls from the three Hensall
4H clubs received silver spoons
for the fall club, "Featuring
Fruit" at the Achievement Day
held in Seaforth Public School on
Saturday, November 19.
Hensall No. 3 had an exhibit
with Susan Mousseau as com-
mentator and Valerie Baker
assisting. Hensall No. 2 had a skit
entitled, "A Christmas Party" ..
with all eight members taking
part. Hensall No. 1 also had an
exhibit with Brenda Pepper as
commentator.
Brenda Pepper was one of six
girls awarded Provincial
Honours (completion of 12
projects) in the County.
The Hensall Women's Institute
would like to thank Diane Ger-
stenkorn, Sharon Hoffman, Betty
Beer, Janet Bilcke, Joan Bierling
and Joyce Pepper for taking time
out to help with the 4H clubs.
Christmas fair
at Huronview
Huronview Auxiliary opened
their November meeting by all
repeating the Lord's Prayer. In
the absence of Mrs. Anne
McNichol, the minutes were read
by Mrs. Raymond Griffiths. 12
members answered the roll call
by naming a favourite recipe.
The main discussion was on the
Christmas Fair. Mrs. Colclough
and Mrs. Lockhard were named
to purchase the articles needed.

Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Holland,
Gwen and Michael, Clinton were
recent visitors .with Mr. & Mrs.
Jim Sangster and Brad.
Mr. & Mrs. George Parker,
Randy & Roddy, Mrs. Pearl
Shaddick, Mr. &' Mrs. Marvin
Taylor were dinner guests with
Mr. & Mrs. Bill Shaddick, Mark
and Michelle- in Kitchener,
Sunday.
Mr. & Mrs. Don MacLaren,
Jodi and Brooke of Oakville were
recent visitors with Mrs. Bertha
MacGregor.
Rev. Dr. Fox of Huron College,
London conducted service' in
Carmel Presbyterian Church,
Sunday. Miss Brenda Pepper
organist led the choir.
Mrs. Edgar McClinchey who
was a patient in South Hurori
Hospital Exeter last week
returned to her home.
A number of members of the
IOOF and Rebekah Lodges at-
tended the Grand Decoration of
Chivalry .held in the auditorium
of South Huron District High
School, Saturday evening,
honouring Lt. Col. John Broad -
foot, Grand Master of Ontario,
Lt. Col. Ernie Chipchase, and
Major Gerald McFalls who
received the degree.
was initiated into membership in
the Lodge by the officers under
the direction of Mrs. Olga
Chipchase, degree captain
assisted by Mrs. Leona Parke,
recording secretary.
Arrangements were completed
for the "variety fair" and "bake
sale" to be held Saturday
November 26 at 2:30 p.m. The
Christmas party will be held
following the meeting December
7 with an exchange of Christmas
gifts.
The Noble Grand Mrs. Maggie
Campbell congratulated the
degree captain Mrs. Olga
Chipchase and officers on the
degree v and Mrs. Bertha
MacGregor D.D.P. also
congratulated the officers.
Brother Ernie Chipchase
brought greetings from the
Grand Master Brother John
Broadfoot and Mrs. Estella spoke
briefly, thanking the members.
"H.appy Birthday" was ex-
tended to Mrs, Leona Parke. A
social hour was enjoyed in the
lower hall following the meeting,
