It was presented by Bernice Reid, Nora Heard, Joan Stephenson and Debra Rathwell. The main point made was that duty is not enough, we must go the second mile, giving ourselves willingly to God's service. They gave a skit 'Peril of Reluctance', which was about the second coming of Christ, and the consequences of not being ready for it. Members who attended the fall rally in Clinton gave a report. They found the workshops helpful, but felt that more time should have been given to them. The Presbyterial annual meeting will be held in Mitchell on January 24. Our Christmas meeting will be on December 1, with a potluck supper at 6:15 and with all former members invited. Has birthday Congratulations to Mr. Ernie Pollock who was 88 years old on November 3. Mrs. Susie Pollock held a birthday party for him on Sunday. Guests were Mr. & Mrs. Hugh Pollock of London, Mr. & Mrs. Ken Pollock and family, Hensall, and Doug and Bonnie Curran and family, Toronto. Persona Is We're glad to hear that George Keyes was out of intensive care at St. Joseph's Hospital on Sunday and is improving, after breaking his arm quite badly in an accident with the power take- off on his tractor. He will be in hospital for some time. Nancy Whittaker was admitted to Seaforth Hospital on Friday for tests. We hope she will soon be feeling much better. Ed and Ida Godkin went on an enjoyable bus trip last weekend. They arrived in Wheeling, W. Va. late Friday night, and attended the Jamboree on Saturday night. Sunday morning they travelled to Akron, Ohio and attended the church service at the Cathedral of Tomorrow. Before they left for home they had dinner at the cathedral dining hall. Earl and Martha Heywood entertained on Hensall women hear Zurich man Victor Dinnin of Zurich was guest speaker at the November meeting of unit four of the Hensall United Church Women held on Thursday in the fellowship hall. Mr. Dinnin was introduced by Mrs. Russell Erratt. He spoke on the com- mandment, "Love Thy Neigh- bour". Before his address, Mrs. J. C. Britton and Mrs. Eric Luther sang a duet, "Deeper and Deeper" which was much en- joyed. Mrs. Britton presided over the first part of the meeting and opened with a poem. Mrs. James McAllister gave the devotional on the raising of Dorcus by Paul. Following this, a poem was read by Mrs. Gladys Coleman. Twenty-two members were present and reported 66 visits to sick and shut. ins during the month. Mrs. Stewart Miner of Exeter will be guest speaker for the general Christmas meeting.
