Varna ladies discuss duty
by Mary C1aessel1
'Our Willing Service' was the
theme of worship at the
November UCW meeting. It was
presented by Bernice Reid, Nora
Heard, Joan Stephenson and
Debra Rathwell. The main point
made was that duty is not
enough, we must go the second
mile, giving ourselves willingly
to God's service. They gave a skit
'Peril of Reluctance', which was
about the second coming of
Christ, and the consequences of
not being ready for it.
Members who attended the fall
rally in Clinton gave a report.
They found the workshops
helpful, but felt that more time
should have been given to them.
The Presbyterial annual
meeting will be held in Mitchell
on January 24. Our Christmas
meeting will be on December 1,
with a potluck supper at 6:15 and
with all former members invited.

hospital for some time.
