match.
Council endorsed a resolution
from McNab Township in Ren-
frew County; calling for
assessment of unoccupied new
houses at one-third. A resolution
from Charlottenburgh Township
in Glengarry County, asking for a
national referendum on capital
punishment, was also supported!

McDonald, federal Minister of
Finance, rejecting a resolution

honorariums to escape taxation,
since such money was still
classed as income.

meetings of the Zurich Hydro
Electric and Water System were
presented. It had been agreed, in
September, that the new rental
rate for the hydro truck to the
water system would be $1,000 a
year. September hydro accounts
came to $16,169. In October they
totalled $11,273. The September
water account added up to $1,300;
the October one, to $1,972.
Tax adjustments totalling
$71.14 were approved for
properties demolished by Alan
Becker and T.C. Keenan and for
three pieces of property taken
