HILDA PAYNE Mr. & Mrs. Jim Hyde spent the holiday weekend with relatives in Belleville. Mr. & Mrs. Lorne Archer, Mrs. Al Corbett and family visited over the weekend with the for- mer's parents Mr. & Mrs. Archer at Elmvale. Mrs. Pearl Shaddick spent Thanksgiving with her cousins Mr. & Mrs. Clarence Rath at Belgrave. Mr. & Mrs. Don MacLaren, Jodi and Brooke, Oakville were holiday visitors with Mrs. Bertha MacGregor. Amber Rebekah hold installation Noble Grand Mrs. Dorothy Parker, presided at the Installation Meeting of Amber Rebekah Lodge Wednesday evening assisted by Vice Grand Mrs. Maggie Campbell, Mrs. Ruby Bell R.S.N.G. reported for the Finance Com- mittee, Mrs. Dorothy Corbett, Treasurer, gave the semi-annual report and Mrs. Maggie Camp- bell, Vice Grand reported for the Visiting Committee. The Com- mission of the District Deputy President was read by Mrs. Ruby Bell and the soloist Mrs. Belva Fuss sang "I'll Climb Every Mountain" accompanied by the pianist Mrs. Evelyn McBeath. The District Deputy President Mrs. Bertha MacGregor and the Installation officers installed the officers of the Lodge. Mrs. Dorothy Parker Noble Grand presented the D.D.P. with a corsage and gift. Mrs. Parker retiring Noble Grand was presented with a gift by her sister Mrs. Bertha MacGregor D.D.P. Following is a list of officers installed with Mrs. Margaret Consitt, Deputy Marshall. Mrs. Belva Fuss sang "How Great Thou Art". Mrs. Bertha MacGregor addressed the Lodge. Bro. Ernie Chipchase spoke expressing congratulations to the Installing officers. Jr. P.N.G. Mrs. Dorothy Parker thanked the members for their support during the past year. Following the Installation a delicious lunch was served and a social hour spent. Mrs. Irma Lowry, Grand Bend spent Thanksgiving at the home of her son-in-law and daughter Mr. & Mrs. Jim Hyde with Lisa and Jacqueline. Mr. & Mrs. Gerrard O'Rourke, Ottawa spent Thanksgiving with the latter's parents Mr. & Mrs. Alex Munn, Rev. Fox of Huron College conducted Thanksgiving service in Carmel Presbyterian Church on Sunday. Miss Brenda Pepper presided at the organ. Bibles, Diplomas and seals were presented to Sunday School students by Mrs. Clarence Volland. The Gideon's will be in charge of the services next Sunday. Miss Dorothy Farquhar, Toronto spent Thanksgiving with her mother Mrs. Emma Farquhar. Jeff Raeburn, Hamilton spent Thanksgiving weekend with his parents Mr. & Mrs. Robert Raeburn. Mr. & Mrs. James Sangster and Brad spent Thanksgiving with Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Holland, Gwen and Michael in Clinton. By the end of the week they were at last able to get back on the land. This combine was at work Friday on the farm of Wayne Love, RR 1, Varna.
