the Pinning Ceremony at
Memorial Hall, University of

Senior Citizens
There was a good attendance at.
the Senior Citizens meeting
September 19 with Mrs. Ross
Loves group in charge.

of various tours that could be
taken.
The rally of Senior Citizens
Zone 8 will be held in Brussels

wood are considering buying a
U.S.C.O. flag. The next meeting

The girls made baked 'apples,
fresh peach -plum compote and
fresh fruit cup. Everyone sam-
pled the foods and the meeting
adjourned.

niversary Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd
Rader entertained their family at
a dinner at Bayview Tourist
Tavern, Sunday. Their family is

Mrs. Jim Lynn, Woodham. They
were presented with a chandelier
and a wedding eddin plate.

Mrs. John Becker, was a patient
in War Memorial Hospital,
London, with croup.
Hay Township
plan workshop
Dates have been set by Hay
Township for workshop meetings
in regard to the township's
Secondary Plan. These are open
to the public. Participation by
residents is urged.
The meetings will be held at
the Township Hall in Zurich at 8
p.m. on October 27, November 2,
November 10, November 17,
November 24 and December 1.
Details will be published later.
Zurich baseball
In Zurich Recreation League
baseball, the Pontiacs a week ago
beat the DJ's 4-3 in nine innings.
The DJ's were leading the series
3-1 at that point.
The same night the Pats
clobbered the Shaws 9-0. The
Pats were then leading the Shaws
2-0 in the series.
Persistent rains have made it
difficult to schedule
games.

ROBERT LEE GINGERICH
Suddenly as the result of a car
accident on Thursday,
September 22nd, 1977, Robert
Lee Gingerich, beloved son of
Edgar and Verna May Gingerich
in his 19th year. Dear brother of
Brenda and Lisa at home. Dear
grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron
Gingerich, R.R. 2, Zurich. A
funeral was held from the
Westlake Funeral Home, Zurich
Sunday, September 25th with
Rev. C. Kuepfer officiating.
Pallbearers were: Harry and
Michael Zandwiyk, Donald Mar-
tin, Ray Widrick, Brad Clausius,
Charles Gingerich. Interment in
the Blake Mennonite Cemetery.
MINA FOSTER
At her residence, Zurich, On-
tario, on Wednesday, September
21, 1977, Mina (Yost) Foster,
beloved wife of the late Lang
Foster, in her 91st year. Dear
mother of Leonard of Kitchener,
Sister Philothea (Rose Marie)
I.H.M. of Monroe, Michigan,
presently Zurich, Mrs. James
(Rita) Givlin of Wellesley, Mrs.
Donald (Anna) McCullamore of
Berville, Michigan, Mrs. Fred
(Mary) Hurley of Sarnia. One
son Francis (Brother Cornelius)
predeceased. One sister Mrs.
Hannah Jaster of Detroit. 17

grandchildren also survive. A
funeral was held Saturday from
the Westlake Funeral Home,
Zurich. Funeral mass was said in
St. Boniface R.C. Church,
Zurich. Interment was in St.
Boniface R,C, Cemetery, Zurich.
WILLIAM T. KYLE
William T. Kyle, Hensall
passed away Monday, September
26, 1977 in South Huron Hospital,
Exeter in his 74th year. He was
the beloved husband of the late
Florence M. Venner,
predeceased September 11, 1971.
Surviving are two sons, Tom,
Thedford, Al, Vanastra, two
daughters Wilma (Mrs. Harold
Caldwell) RR 2 Kippen, Bonnie
(Mrs. Jim Bozzato) Hensall, one
brother Emerson Kyle, Kippen,
and twelve grandchildren also
survive.
Funeral service was held from
the Bonthron Funeral Home,
Hensall, Wednesday at 2 p.m.
Rev. E. S. Stephens officiating.
Interment in Baird's Cemetery,
Stanley township.
