IRVIN RADER The September meeting of Calvary United church Women was held Tuesday, with the Christian Development group in charge and Mrs. Eben Weigand, chairlady. A poem was read by Mrs. Mildred Kellerman, "Stop and Think". Mrs, Jean Weigand favoured with a solo. Rev. Bruce Guy spoke on Christian Development. Mrs. Hugh Boyle, president, conducted the business. Thirteen members were present. The Fall Regional is to be held in Centralia October 18. The Sunshine com- mittee is Mrs. Ken McCrae and Mrs. Eben Weigand, 4H The meeting 1 of Dashwood Club 2 was held September 14 with 18 girls present. Two new members have joined for the project "Featuring Fruits". The officers are: president, Barbara Rader; vice-president, Sandra Datars; secretary, Susan Fischer; treasurer, Judith Mellecke; press reporter, Pauline Dietrich. The leaders, Mrs. Ray Rader and Mrs. Earl Keller outlined the record books. Dividing into 4 groups, the girls made strawberry Cooler, Grape Sparkle, Apricot balls and Date mallow chew. The girls then sampled the recipes. DECORATION DAY Due to unsettled weather, Decoration Day for Calvary United Church was held Sunday, September 18 at the church. The guest speaker was Rev. Don Forrest pastor of Exeter Pen- tecostal Tabernacle. The Dash- wood-Seaforth band was in at- tendance. Personals Mr. & Mrs. Michael Tieman. are in the process of moving to their home on Centre Street purchased from Mrs. Violet England, Mrs. Earl Keller attended the 4H training school in Clinton September 10 and 17. Mr. & Mrs. Aaron Restemayer accompanied by Mr. & Mrs. Stuart Wolfe spent a week at Inverlochy, fishing. Carli Ann, infant daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Barry Tieman, Exeter, was baptized in Zion Lutheran Church by Rev. Mayo Mellecke, Sunday, September 18. Sponsors were Mrs. Shiela Teevins, Grand Bend, and Barry Tieman, Ottawa. Guests with Mr. & Mrs. Barry Tieman included Mrs. Louella Tieman, Mr. & Mrs. George Tieman, Mr. & Mrs. Michael Tieman and the Charles Tieman family. Flowers in Zion Lutheran Church, Sunday, were in loving memory of Mrs. Susan Merner who passed away one year ago. Mr. & Mrs. Roy Stickney, Overland Park, Kansas, and Mrs. E.S. McLelland, St. Catharines were recent visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Earl Guenther. Bob Reschke, 45, son of Mr. & Mrs. Rudolph Reschke (Margaret Merner) Detroit, passed away very suddenly. Those attending the funeral were Mrs. Louella Tieman, Mr. & Mrs. George Tieman, Ron Merner and Margaret Merner, Mr. & Mrs. Elgin Merner, Kitchener; Charles and Russel Tiernan, Exeter; Mr. & Mrs. Arnold Merner and Mr. & Mrs. Hubert Schilbe, Zurich; Donna Merner, Toronto; Mrs. Chas. Those who attended the Fonger-Scott wedding Saturday in London Mount Olive Lutheran Church and reception at Holiday Inn were Helen Nadiger-organist, Mrs. Fred Messner, grand- mother of the groom, Mrs. Oluf Pedersen, Mr. & Mrs. Bud Durdan, Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd Lee, Mrs. Edna Weber and Mr. & Mrs. Leeland Restmayer.
