A RUMMAGE SALE IN THE PARK AT ST.JOSEPH — On Saturday
members of the Cantin family held an open-air rummage sale in the lit-
tle park at the intersection of highways 2-1 and 84. Tables were set up
beside the plaque commemorating their ancestor, Narcisse Contin,
who tried to promote an all -Canadian seaway system, which featured
a canal from St. Joseph to Port Stanley. Narcisse founded the town at"
the turn of the century, but it had completely 'disappeared by the time
he died there in 1940. Staff photo
