of many Canadians is deficient in iron.
Most iron deficiencies can be corrected by improved eating habits and by
more frequent uses of the following foods which are common sources of
iron:
Meat and alternates: liver, red meats, egg yolks, dried beans, peas,
lentils:
Fruits and vegetables: potatoes, green leafy vegetables;
Cereals, breads, pastas: whole grain and enriched cereals, enriched
flour, enriched bread, enriched pastas.
