spent a few days last week
visiting with his mother Mrs.
Laird Mickle before leaving on a
three weeks' vacation in the
Caribbean.
Mrs. W. Kraft, Kitchener spent
last week with Mrs. C. Christie.
Mr. & Mrs. Joe Flynn and Mr.
& Mrs. Jack Corbett returned
home from Silver Lake where
they spent a week camping and
fishing,
Mrs. E. Holland, Toronto, Mrs.
R. Watson, Seaforth visited Mrs.
C. Christie on Saturday.
Mr. & Mrs. Harold Parker
returned home -after spending a
week camping and fishing at
Silver Lake and also visited Mr.
& Mrs. Don Dalton and Carla at
Seaforth.
Mrs. Eric Munroe, Seaforth
was a recent visitor with Mrs.
Bertha MacGregor.
Mr. & Mrs. Ross Corbett and
Jeff attended the 54th Walton
family reunion at Stanley
Township Park Sunday August 14
with 88 in attendance. Next year
the reunion will be held at Point
Pelee, National Park.
Mrs. Cecil Maxwell who
recently underwent surgery at
University 'Hospital, London
returned home on Saturday.
Mrs. Roy Consitt recently
underwent surgery at St.
Joseph's Hospital, London.
Gordon Love who underwent
surgery in St. Joseph's Hospital,
London was transferred to South
Huron Hospital, Exeter where he
is convalescing.
Miss Catherine Sells of London
has been spending a few days
with the Misses Greta and Amy
Lammie.
Anglicans and Presbyterians
joined in worship at Hensall
United Church on Sunday, when
'Rev. Don Beck conducted the
service, preaching on
"Miracles". All miracles begin
from a negative situation and
teach participation.
Mrs. John Turkheim was at the
organ with Mr. John Blackwell at
the piano. Three duets were
played Handel's "Largo",
"Adagio Cantabile"
by
Beethoven, and "Pomp and
Circumstance" by Edgar Elgar.

A very enjoyable event was
held at the Hensall Community
Park on Monday evening when
neighbours and friends gathered
in honor of Mr. & Mrs. Tony
Charrette and family who are
taking up residence in Thedford
where they have opened a
grocery store and meat market,
Following a delicious picnic
supper the guests of honour were
presented with gifts. Robert
Raeburn made the presentation.
During the evening musical
numbers were supplied by Jack
Simmons playing the banjo,
Betty Beer playing the guitar and
oanjo ana moss veal ac -
companying on the mouth organ.
Mr. & Mrs• Ross Corbett and
Jeff vacationed recently in
Northern Ontario travelling to
New Liskeard then visiting with
Mr, & Mrs, Fred Preston and
girls at Sundridge and with Mr. &
Mrs. Morris Taylor and girls at
The Three Coins Motel near
Gravenhurst.
Mark Taylor, Varna was a
recent visitor with his cousin Jeff
Corbett.
