The game went ten innings before the Bluebirds managed to score one run to take the game 4 to 3. • The Bluebirds scored first in 4., the game as they came up with three big runs in the first inning. Zurich struck" for two in the fifth on a double by Wayne Clarke and Kevin McKinnon followed with a single to score Wayne. Bob Farquhar then singled, moving Kevin to third who then scored on a single by Paul Morrison. In the bottom of the seventh Zurich scored the run that sent the game into extra innings. Bob Farquhar singled with one out and then rode home on the two out .hit by Brian Hodgins, Neither team did much damage until the 10th when the Bluebirds came up with a run to bs Iebrut anniversary On February 29, 1952, 32 Club Leaders, representing the various boys and girls Agricultural Clubs in Huron County, met together at the Agricultural Office in Clinton to discuss all rules and regulations pertaining to Junior Clubs in the county. From this meeting the Huron County 4-H Club Leaders' Association was formed and the 4-H name was adopted as a prefix to all Junior Clubs in the county. 1977 marks' the 25th Anniver- sary of this event and the Huron County 4-11 Club Leaders' Association are planning a day of Celebration and Reunion of past and present 4-H leaders, mem- bers, parents, Agricultural Representative staff and Home Economists, Saturday, July 23, 1977 at the Blyth Arena. The celebrations are taking the form of a banquet at 12.00 p.m. and a reunion in the afternoon. Guest Speaker for the banquet will be R.W. (Bob) Carbert; General Manager of the Ontario Agricultural Museum in Milton and former Farm Editor for CKNX in Wingham. Former Agricultural Representative staff . returning for the occasion include John Butler, Gordon Bennett, Gerry Montgomery, Doug Miles, Dave Inglis, Art Bolton, Gerry Chamberlain, Don Grieve, Morris Huff, Doug Keys and Jim Arnold. Past Home Economists at- tending the reunion include Jean Steckle, Flora Durnin, Diane (Liddiard) Pirhonen, Kit (Hunt) Scott, Sharon (Carroll) Hart, Jean Scott, Pat (Damude) Squire, Shirley (Patterson) McAllister and Susan (Heard) Wheatley. As the 4-H programme has touched the lives of so many people in the county, past 4-H club leaders and members who cannot attend the banquet are invited to attend the reunion part of the programme at 2:00 p.m. The Huron County 4-H Youth Council are rounding off the day's activities with a 4-H Dance at the Blyth Arena. Tickets for the dance are available from 4-H Youth Council Representatives throughout the county. The Huron County 4-11 Club Leaders' Association hope the many past and present 4-H club members and leaders will take the opportunity to return to Blyth and renew acquaintances of former friends. Brian pitched nine innings before Clinton finally scored against him. It was a well played game by both teams and was certainly enjoyable for the good crowd that turned out to watch. The Buckeye's play in Thamesford this Saturday at 2 o'clock against Baden in the first game of the Thamesford Tour- nament, Zurich's second game will be Sunday at either 12:15 or 2 p.m. so come and give us your support.
