and Mrs. Howard Dayman of Kippen and James Knox, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Knox of Exeter were married Saturday, June 18 at
Brucefield United Church. Rev. Stevens officiated. Matron of Honour
was Elaine Gould and Bridesmaids were Shirley Hodgert and Irene
Tomlinson with Charlene Dayman as Flowergirl. Groomsman was Ron
Durand and the ushers were Oral Knox and Randy Dayman with
Trevor Blue as the ring bearer. Following theceremonya reception was
held at Seaforth Legion Hall, where the couple left for a trip to Ken-

Plan 50th match
Planning for the 50th Plowing
Match sponsored by the Huron
Plowmen's Association is well`
underway. The match will take
place on Saturday, September 17
on the Stephen township farm of
Allan Walper, near Grand Bend,
The coaching and junior match
will be held two days earlier on
Thursday, September 15.
While the Association was
formed in 1924 no matches were
held during the war years 1942-43-
44 according to R. T. Bolton, the
Association secretary -treasurer.
Plans for the 50th Match were
advanced at a meeting in Win-
throp on June 28.
A special attraction this year
will include a solar heat system
which heats the Walper home.
Other attractions include horse
shoe pitching with two classes,
ladies and mens nail driving
contests and a log sawing contest
with two classes.
The meeting also approved
plans to hold a banquet at Pine
Ridge Chalet on October 20.

Seniors joined with the Grand
Bend Seniors for a bus trip
Tuesday, June 28.
They visited Parkhill dam and
an Indian village at Ailsa Craig
where they had their lunch, then
on to St. Thomas where they
visited the parks and museum.
Following supper at the' Pon-
derosa they visited Springbank
Park and home.
Personals

of the Blue Water Rest Home,
Zurich.
Mrs. Wilbur Stewart, London,
spent a few days with Mr. & Mrs.
Jack Gaiser, Kim and Lyn.
Private Scott Boyle, Uplands,
C.F.B. Ottawa spent the weekend
with his parents, Mr. & Mrs.
Hugh Boyle and his brothers.
Mr. & Mrs. Mike Burke and
Susan, Brampton, were holiday
visitors with Milt Haugh.
Kevin John, infant son of Mr. &
Mrs, Keith Miller was baptized in
Zion Lutheran Church Sunday by
Rev. M. Mellecke,
Mr. & Mrs. Dave Rader and
Stacey and Richard and Susan
Denomme and family spent the
weekend at Miller Lake. They
also saw a lot of Dashwood folk
including George Tieman's, Doug
Riddell's, Don Bender's and the
Paul Watson family.
Brenda, Charlotte and Karen
Miller, Zion, spent the weekend
with their grandparents, Mr. &
Mrs. Irvin Rader, Sharon Rader,
London spent a couple of days
with her parents, Mr. & Mrs.
Irvin Rader.
